Danube Waltz combines cycling and river cruising on a round trip from Passau, the "Bavarian Venice", into the heart of the glamorous former Austro-Hungarian (K+K) monarchy. Over eight days, riders visit three of Europe's most charming capitals: Vienna, the metropolis of the waltz; Bratislava, the historic coronation city; and Budapest, the "Paris of the East". The route crosses four countries, linking cobblestoned old towns, baroque palaces and some of the most celebrated riverside landscapes in Europe.

Daily rides are short and easy, following the Danube Cycle Path through the romantic Schlögen Loop, where cosy cider taverns and Austria's only Trappist monastery at Engelhartszell invite a stop. The route then follows the former Iron Curtain past the terraced gardens of Schloss Hof to Bratislava, and continues through the gently rolling "Hungarian Wachau" of the Danube Bend to Esztergom and Hungary's largest basilica. After a rest day in Vienna, with optional city tours and a waltz and operetta concert at Schönbrunn Palace, the final stage winds through the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley, past Dürnstein's ruined castle, apricot orchards, vineyards and the magnificent Benedictine Abbey of Melk.

Accommodation is aboard one of two premium river ships, MV Vivienne or MV Lisabelle. The ship moves each night, so there is no daily packing. Our Seoul to Busan cycling holiday is 7 days of riding but a 9-day guided tour experience!

The package begins with an afternoon e-bike tour, orientation and fitting and a comfortable night at the Silla stay hotel in Seoul.

All meals, drinks, accommodation and transfers are included in the package from this point.

We ride 70-90km per day with regular stops to enjoy sites of interest and connect with the people of Korea. Along the way we see the hidden beauty of Korea, dine on a mushroom farm, create our own Korean paper, visit ancient temples and shrines, go for karaoke, and much more.. We eat Koreas most famous foods , go to a private Korean spa, and experience epic views at the right time of the day. Our accommodation varies from 4 star hotels to luxury B&Bs, traditional Hanoks even a cycling motel! Most importantly, they all have a fun and unique character in common and offer comfort at the end of our cycling days.

A support car is present at all times for luggage transfers, refreshments, cycling assistance and emergency. Tour ends with a celebration night near the beach in Busan and a day of exploring the second biggest city of Korea followed by KTX back to Seoul.

Why this route? This is the shortest route from coast to coast at 2940 miles, yet you’ll still have bragging rights of cycling across the country.

The timing will be perfect for those who want to get a big jump on their new year miles. As we progress West to East, we should have the best, consistent temperatures ranging from the 60s to perhaps the 80s–perfect cycling conditions.

While we won’t guarantee freshly paved bike trail for the entire route, we will boast that we have sought the most accommodating routes available in the area and you will enjoy scenery to include: seashores, mountains, ranch lands, wildflowers, bayous and citrus groves.

This southern route takes us through wonderfully warm towns in southern California. We climb out of San Diego and head toward the Arizona border, Tucson, Tombstone, and the Chiricahua Mountains before taking on our 3rd state, New Mexico (Land of Enchantment).

Then, we are on to Texas where we will ride 1/3 of our tour crossing TX at its widest part. We enjoy the flat ranches of western TX, the TX Hill Country, just outside of Austin, and on to the rolling hills of east TX.

From there, it’s a few days of riding across Louisiana. Time to enjoy some Cajun cooking. We cross the boot heels of both Mississippi and Alabama, then take a ferry across Mobile Bay to enter FL’s panhandle. North Florida has a varied landscape of strawberry fields, lush Live Oaks, horse farms, small college towns and orange groves, as we move toward the coast. This tour follows the River Ebro, the longest in Spain, from its source in the Cantabrian Mountains down to the vineyards of La Rioja. After a transfer to Campoo, riders pass green mountain pastures, the Ebro Reservoir and the Monastery of Montesclaros before reaching Polientes, with a longer option circumnavigating the reservoir.

The route continues through the open Valderredible valley, past Romanesque and rock-carved churches, into a deepening canyon where eagles and vultures soar overhead, and the fairytale village of Orbaneja del Castillo. Further on, a huge river bend leads to Medina de Pomar's old Jewish quarter, with an optional detour to the rock-bridge village of Puentedey, then on to the castle village of Frías.

The final stages pass through more dramatic canyons and reservoir shores to reach Haro and the walled medieval village of Laguardia, both at the heart of Rioja wine country.

Self-guided cyclists comfortable with intermediate terrain and occasional climbing away from the river, daily distances up to 62 km (shorter route options available on two days).

Each day you'll cycle approximately 75km (~35km before and after lunch), interacting with Malaysia and Thailand first-hand, enjoying the fabulous local food, seeing sides to these countries that are the privilege of the bicycle saddle. This self-guided loop of the Central West Cycle Trail starts and finishes in Dubbo, following quiet backroads through rural New South Wales. Riders head south to Wellington via Geurie and its classic country bakery, then cross open farmland and gentle hills to the historic gold rush town of Gulgong, with its Pioneer Museum and heritage streets.

From Dunedoo the route becomes more undulating, with shaded bushland stretches ideal for birdwatching, before a relaxed arvo at the pub in Mendooran. The next leg reaches Ballimore, and the final day returns to Dubbo via Wongarbon across open plains and small villages.

The tour is run by Mick and Kerrie Cooper, who know the trail intimately. They handle accommodation bookings, luggage transfers, navigation and back-up transport, and can book farm morning teas and a whisky distillery tasting along the way. A fully supported version is also available.

Suitable for:
Moderately fit riders comfortable with around 60 km a day on mixed sealed and gravel roads, who enjoy country towns, pubs and rural scenery. Well suited to groups of friends.

Provence Cycling Holidays run hosted, self-guided bike tours from a single base: their family-run, 17th century farmhouse B&B, built from white Gordes stone near Coustellet in the heart of the Luberon. Hosts Neil and Natalene Cowell have lived and ridden here year-round for almost 20 years, and they keep numbers small, with no more than eight cyclists, so the service stays personal. The trans-African crossing from Cairo to Cape Town has long been one of the world’s epic journeys and an iconic goal for global adventurers. Over the years this quest has inspired many to attempt to complete the route and in 2003, we decided to tackle it by bicycle. This 14-day supported road tour takes riders from London to Barcelona across remarkably diverse landscapes. The journey opens on quiet Surrey lanes from Hampton Court to Portsmouth, followed by an overnight ferry to Caen in Normandy.

Through France, the route crosses four regions: Normandy's green farmland, the Loire Valley's vineyards and châteaux (crossing the river at Tours), the medieval villages and castles of Nouvelle Aquitaine, and the sun-baked countryside of Occitanie. A rest day is spent in the fortified UNESCO city of Carcassonne before the route climbs into the Pyrenean foothills.

The tour's centrepiece is the crossing into Spain via the 1,513 m Col d'Ares, a 52 km climb followed by a 32 km descent. Our self-powered caravan begins in Beijing, China, the political and cultural centre of China and crosses mysterious lands, fiery deserts, and forbidding mountains. Almost 15 weeks later riders will arrive in Istanbul, the majestic capital of Byzantium, the Roman Empire, the Ottomans and now the Republic of Turkey. The route follows the Silk Road northwest before dropping back south in Central Asia. Included are visits to destinations definitely off the beaten track - the Pamir Highway in Tajikistan where riders will climb to over 4600 meters and cycle across the 'Roof of the World' and distant Mongolia, where riders will cycle along ancient trading routes through the vast steppes and meet the country's nomadic people, experiencing their age-old traditions.

Silk Route participants will ride to the mystical Central Asian cities of Samarkand and Bukhara and camp amongst the stunning meadows, rivers and peaks of Kyrgyzstan. There are points where quietness pervades and where the original travellers of the Silk Route seem to be just beyond the next hill, beckoning cyclists further along this arduous trek. Time and time again, riders will be amazed at the layers of history emerging from the sand, shake their heads at all that has been lost and take heart from all that is being preserved and created. Each group of Silk Route riders will be enriched by an intricate knowledge of ancient lands crossed and the inspiration that comes from sharing a grand adventure with new friends and fellow nomads.

The Black Sea Route aims to establish a continuous hiking and biking trail along the Black Sea coast from the Danube Delta to Istanbul. It follows the diverse seaside of lakes, cliffs, beaches and mountains on the territory of Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.

• Join us and you will become a messenger of the Black Sea Path, supporting and assisting in a national hiking and cycling route along the panoramic coast of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.
• For 12 days we will travel along the coastal paths from the lakes of the Danube Delta to Rezovo, connecting the trans-European routes Eurovelo 6 from France along the Danube to Constanta, E 3 from Spain via Mount Kom to Emine and Eurovelo 13 - The Iron Curtain Road from Norway to Rezovo.
• The transition will be marked by fresh spring weather, the final chords of bird migration, the timid leafing of the forest and the cool sea breeze.

The Black Sea Route Epic will start in Visina, Tucea Region, Romania, pass through the cities of Varna and Burgas in Bulgaria and finish at Rezovo village on the Turkish-Bulgarian border, the final spot on the Iron Curtain Trail Eurovelo 13. The tour is dominated by coastal lands and beaches. We are riding on dirt, cobblestone or sandy roads, marked and unknown tourist trails with as few paved sections as possible through urban areas.

Danube Experience Iron Gates is a 15-day cycling cruise through six countries. It follows the Danube from Passau in Bavaria to the dramatic gorges of the Iron Gates on the Serbian–Romanian border, then back again. Aboard the 4-star superior MV Lisabelle, riders visit four Danube capitals (Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade) and a wealth of landscapes, cultures and cuisines. The ship serves as a floating hotel, so there is no daily packing.

Riding mainly follows the EuroVelo 6 cycle path. Early stages cross the Schlögen Loop and follow the former Iron Curtain to Bratislava, then continue to Budapest and the artists' town of Szentendre. Further south, routes run along flood dykes through the Gemenc floodplain and the vast Pannonian Plain, past storks' nests, sunflower fields and the memorial to the 1526 Battle of Mohács. In Serbia and Croatia, riders visit the Petrovaradin fortress above Novi Sad and the wine town of Ilok. Kalocsa, Hungary's paprika capital, offers optional Puszta horse shows by the Csikós herdsmen. Rest days in Belgrade and Vienna, plus a full day cruising the Iron Gates canyons past the Decebalus rock sculpture, balance out the riding.

The return journey takes in the Danube Bend and Esztergom's basilica, Hungary's largest church, before a final stage through the UNESCO-listed Wachau to Melk Abbey. Full board is included, and riders can stay aboard on any day they prefer. Every departure runs either self-guided with app navigation or as a small-group guided tour.

The first day’s ride takes the cyclists across the Zambezi River and into the country of Botswana. The next week features a string of long, flat cycling days through some of the most impressive wildlife habitats on the planet. Botswana is home to some 110,000 elephants that roam through the Kalahari and Chobe National Parks and the cyclists should not be surprised if they have to stop on a highway to allow a family of elephants or a solitary male Bull Elephant to cross at a safe distance!

After camping near the Makgadikgadi Pans Game Reserve the riders arrive in the laid-back city of Maun for a rest day. Here they can take a dugout canoe or a small plane ride into the Okavango, the world’s largest inland river delta, to view some of the area’s prolific wildlife. The cycling then continues along the Trans-Kalahari Highway, including "The Longest Day" a challenging 217 km, to the border with Namibia, a country whose stunning arid landscapes are one of the world’s best kept secrets. The section ends in the Namibian capital of Windhoek, a modern, cosmopolitan city where riders can enjoy fabulous beer and some great restaurants.

Basque Country to Asturias - Along the Coast follows Northern Spain's coastline from Bilbao to Ribadesella. From Bilbao's Old Quarter and tapas bars, the route follows the River Nervión past the Guggenheim Museum to Getxo, with its 19th-century industrialists' villas, crossing the river on the UNESCO-listed Puente Vizcaya transporter bridge before reaching the fishing port of Castro Urdiales.

Continuing west, the route passes the griffon vulture cliffs at Sonabia and the beach town of Laredo to Santoña, known for its anchovies, then on along the coast past Somo and Pedreña's golf course, with a boat crossing of the Bay of Santander into the city itself. From Santander, the route follows the Camino de Santiago pilgrim trail past the beaches of El Sardinero and Liencres to the medieval village of Santillana del Mar.

The route continues through the lemon groves of Novales to Comillas, with Gaudí's El Capricho, and along the beaches of the Oyambre Natural Park to San Vicente de la Barquera. Crossing into Asturias at Unquera, past the emigrant villas of Colombres, the route follows the Sierra de Cuera to the fishing village of Llanes, finishing with a ride past the landlocked beach of Gulpiyuri to Ribadesella.

Surface and terrain:
The route usually follows the coastline. Hilly at times, but hills are never too long; generally easy to intermediate cycling. Carbon, e-road, trekking and e-hybrid bikes offered.

Self-guided cyclists comfortable with coastal riding and occasional short hills, daily distances up to around 50-60 km.

Following the success of their B&B-based tours, Provence Cycling Holidays have run a second single-base option since 2016 from a newly built, Provençal-style villa in Taillades, inside the Luberon Regional Park and just 7 km by bike track from their Coustellet B&B. The key difference is privacy: the whole villa is yours alone, for groups of two to six, on a self-catering basis. It has three bedrooms, a large open-plan kitchen, a terrace with pergola, landscaped gardens and a large covered pool. A bakery and restaurant are a short stroll away.

The riding set-up mirrors the B&B tours. Guests use quality Trek hybrids and Garmin GPS units pre-loaded with around 30 tried and tested backroad routes, supported by a Ride Directory and detailed notes on sights, cafés and restaurants. Routes follow quiet country lanes through hilltop stone villages, lavender fields, orchards and vineyards, with options for every level, from gentle flat rides to hard days in the hills.

Hosts Neil and Natalene Cowell visit each morning to clean the pool and are on hand to help choose rides, book restaurants and answer questions, so guests can use them as much or as little as they like. After cycling in the humidity of southern Thailand, they will likely appreciate a ride through Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands. Situated between 1000 and 1500 m above sea level, the temperatures are pleasant and the scenery is remarkable – tea estates, waterfalls, forests, orchards, lakes and rivers.

A short bus transfer will then bring Bamboo Road riders to the modern metropolis of Kuala Lumpur. Riders will enjoy a rest day here climbing the iconic Petronas Towers or enjoying a relaxing walk through the British-inspired Lake Gardens. The last stretch of this section, and indeed the full tour, returns to the coast and passes through the great historic trading city of Meleka where they can also enjoy the inhabitants' unique take on traditional Malaysian cuisine. Finally, the participants will cross into Singapore, ending this epic adventure.

This cycling odyssey begins in Northern Greece, tracing the footsteps of Alexander the Great. Starting in Thessaloniki, the journey heads inland to Pella, Alexander's birthplace, and continues through the scenic landscapes of Edessa and Vergina, home to the royal tombs of Macedonian kings. The route then moves south to Mount Olympus, the mythical home of the gods, and into the breathtaking region of Meteora, known for its towering stone pillars and monasteries. The first week concludes at Thermopylae, the site of the legendary stand of the 300 Spartans.

The adventure then shifts to Turkey's Turquoise Coast, accessed via luxury sailboat gulets. Riders will experience the stunning coastline, from the hidden gem of Turunç to the crystal-clear waters of Cliftlik Bay, and the untouched paradise of Sarsala Bay. The journey continues through Göcek, Fethiye, and Kalkan, passing historical sites like the sunken city of Kekova and Demre, home of Saint Nicholas. The Turkish leg ends in Antalya and Sagalassos, one of the best-preserved ancient cities of the Greco-Roman world.

Crossing the Mediterranean, the tour arrives in Alexandria, Egypt, a city founded by Alexander the Great. The final leg follows the Nile south through fertile lands, culminating at the Pyramids of Giza. This monumental cycling finale brings the journey to a close at one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

This tour offers a blend of historical exploration, stunning landscapes, and unique cultural experiences, making it a truly epic adventure.

Cycle of Life Adventures is taking our vast experiences of crossing the country on the Southern Tier and going the length of the US along two Epic routes following the Mississippi River and the Appalachian Range to now offering a Northern Tier adventure. We have had a very high demand for this trip over the past couple of years.

This route will take in the many sights and vistas of the Cascades, Rockies, Appalachian and Adirondack Mountains as we ride from Astoria, OR to Portsmouth, NH. While it will be a challenging ride, (it is not all mountain), we will also travel across the Great Plains and around the Great Lakes. What an extraordinary way to see and experience the wonderful country we live in. This Epic Northern Tier option will include an estimated 3576 miles over 52 days, taking you through numerous states and a portion of eastern Canada. The average mileage will be in the 75-80 miles/day range (but of course, this is impacted by availability of lodging) and daily elevations will be determined as the route unfolds. We will work to include 5-7 rest days and several National Parks in our itinerary.

Your cycling journey will take you from the headwaters of the Mississippi along the borders of eleven states. The tour is southbound, but not all down-hill.

Along your route, enjoy the scenery on the 150-mile paved Paul Bunyan Trail, urban trails in Minneapolis, St. Louis, Memphis and the levee trails in Louisiana. Take in the rollers along the farmlands of Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. Relax or take in the sites of Anheuser Busch, The Arch or a day cruise on a riverboat in St. Louis. If you are a history buff, Memphis, Vicksburg and New Orleans will fill your head with facts on American, Native American and Civil War history. The impeccably maintained plantation houses of Louisiana will provide luxurious accommodations.

The Mississippi Bike tour is conveniently divided into 2 stages for those who cannot commit to the full 33-Day trek. The stages start and stop in major cities (see options), making it easy to join any leg of the tour.

The route starts out along the gorgeous North Sea cycle route, traversing the spectacular dyke at Afsluitdijk and crossing part of the nature reserve that straddles the border between the Netherlands and Germany. From there we cycle through large fields beneath even bigger skies, through the towns of Wilhelmshaven and Bremerhaven before getting up close and personal with the Kiel Canal (which links the North Sea and the Baltic). The Baltic cycle path takes us alongside beautiful white beaches to the last of many ferry crossings, this time into Rodby in Denmark. Cycling in the Danish countryside is quiet, the scenery is beautiful and the first hills all trip are better described as ‘slopes’! On the final day we cycle into Copenhagen on National Route 6 with time set aside for a celebratory glass of Carlsberg – probably.

Highlights

• The North Sea: Cycling along the North Sea cycle route with glimpses over the dykes to Dutch beaches and coastal resorts.
• Those cycle paths: the route does occasionally go along short sections of quiet road, but it’s mainly well maintained cycle path all the way. A rare treat and escape from the noise of traffic!
• Beautiful and important cities: like Kiel, and Groningen, and some fascinating glimpses of north sea industry including a massive windfarm factory.
• Big boats: watch the liners out at sea, or only slightly smaller boats navigating the mighty Kiel canal.
• Wheat beers, and bakery displays: what else does a self respecting cyclist need than good beer and tasty cake?

Ferry crossings and island hopping: it’s a watery part of the world, and the route makes use of numerous little ferry crossings which provide a great chance to rest your legs, before island hopping up through Denmark.

A 5 night 4 day road cycling trip covering approx. 220 miles, starting in Chepstow then passing through Brecon, Llanidloes and Barmouth before reaching Holyhead. While not as well known or anywhere near as long as Lands End to John o’Groats, this trip is one of the best ways to achieve the same kind of challenge in less time. Wherever possible we utilise country lanes and national cycle network paths, trying to avoid main roads. We ride at a pace that is well within the reach of a fit and competent cyclist.

We have re-envisaged our Marco Polo tour to provide a more immersive exploration of the Balkans and the chance to cycle more off the beaten track than on previous editions.

Since 2020, our Marco Polo tour began in Venice, embodying the legendary explorer’s spirit of discovery. For the 2026 edition, we’ve reimagined the journey, shifting the start to Lake Bled, Slovenia, and crafting a more adventurous route through Albania. While loosening historical constraints, we’ve maintained the tour’s essence: an immersive cycling experience that celebrates exploration and the unknown.

Our tour from Slovenia to Greece unfolds across two stages. Stage 1, graded at 2.5 espresso cups, begins in Lake Bled, traversing Slovenia before descending the Dalmatian coast to Dubrovnik, showcasing Slovenia’s cycling delights and Croatian island landscapes. Stage 2, rated 3.5 espresso cups, ventures through the less-explored territories of Montenegro and Albania, then crosses Greece to Athens, offering longer distances and a more challenging topographical journey.

What’s New for 2026
The route change has allowed us to explore two countries we think are amazing travel destinations – Slovenia & Albania. Below, we profile why we have changed the tour to embrace these two countries.

Slovenia
We cycle through stunning landscapes in Slovenia, starting at picturesque Lake Bled. We then wind through Ljubljana’s vibrant streets and descend towards Croatia’s border. We traverse terrain beloved by professional cyclists and offer world-class routes through alpine valleys, rolling countryside, and scenic mountain passages.

Albania
Albania has become a bonafide buzz destination, and the changes we have witnessed since we started cycling there have been huge. The Giro d’Italia, starting here last year, is a testament to that. Our route now takes us inland to explore UNESCO sites and immerse ourselves further in this beguiling destination.

It was in 1889 that the original Orient Express train completed the Paris to Istanbul route for the first time. Our cycling version of the Orient Express has been setting off from Paris since 2005, and is still going strong. Cycle past fields of sunflowers, along hundreds of kilometers of the Danube Cycleway, up into the Carpathian mountains in Romania. Be amazed by lesser cycled Bulgaria, and all the way to the Bosphorus at Istanbul.

The adventure will begin in Paris, and a brief stop at some of its most famous site before we head into the countryside. The route through France passes through medieval towns and across increasingly lush, hilly and forested terrain, before a thrilling descent down to Munster, near the French-German border.

This self-guided hotel-to-hotel tour explores Puglia, the south-eastern tip of Italy, riding through the unique countryside between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. As well as the scenery, riders experience the warmth and hospitality of southern Italy in a region rich in culture, where Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Normans, Habsburgs and Bourbons have all left their mark. Travelling outside the main season means the mostly flat, sealed roads are largely free of traffic.

The tour starts in Alberobello, famous for its UNESCO-listed trulli stone houses, then crosses the Valle d'Itria, one of the south's prettiest cultural landscapes, with a wine-tasting stop in Locorotondo before reaching Ostuni, the "white town" with sweeping sea views. Olive groves, vineyards and orchards lead to Avetrana on the ancient Via Appia, before the route heads for the Ionian coast past old defence towers and Porto Cesareo to Gallipoli, whose old town sits on a rocky island jutting into the sea. From there riders reach Santa Maria di Leuca, the southernmost point of Salento, known for its pilgrimage church and eccentric turn-of-the-century villas.

The final stages follow the Adriatic coast past the Zinzulusa Cave and the spa town of Santa Cesarea Terme to walled Otranto, with its Habsburg castle, before continuing via the limestone cliffs of Torre dell'Orso to Lecce, the baroque capital of the south, with around 30 churches and a Roman amphitheatre. Nights are in 3 and 4-star hotels or agriturismo farms, with luggage transferred daily.

Leisure riders comfortable with 35 to 60 km days on mostly flat roads. Rated Easy by the operator; minimum age 14.

This challenging expedition offers you the best opportunity to explore the vastness and diversity of South America by bike. In keeping with the TDA vision, it is an epic trans-continental expedition unlike any other. This self-guided hotel-to-hotel tour starts in Venice, "la Serenissima", and follows the Adriatic coast past the classic beach resorts of Jesolo and Caorle to Trieste, the former Habsburg seaport at the foot of the Karst, before finishing on Croatia's Istrian peninsula. With the sea never far away, there are plenty of chances for a refreshing swim, while the Julian Alps rise majestically to the north. The route is flat until shortly before Trieste, then gently hilly through to Poreč.

From Mestre, riders choose between the lagoon route, with a ferry to Punta Sabbioni and the beaches of the Cavallino peninsula, or a quieter inland ride along the River Sile past the medieval Torre Caligo. Beyond Caorle's historic centre the route turns inland to Portogruaro, which proudly considers itself the most Venetian of towns, and the Roman colony of Concordia Sagittaria. A boat from Marano Lagunare crosses the lagoon towards Aquileia, once a great city of the Roman Empire, with its vast patriarchal basilica, and the golden island resort of Grado.

The Karst hinterland leads back to a dramatic coastline of white cliffs via Duino, Sistiana and Miramare Castle into Trieste. Crossing into Slovenia, cycle paths link Koper, Izola and Piran on the Slovenian Riviera, before the route passes the Sečovlje salt pans into Croatia and gently rolling Istria to Poreč and its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica. Nights are in 3 and 4-star hotels, with luggage transferred daily.

An epic cycle journey of nearly 500km following the banks of the Loire River from Orléans to the Atlantic Coast, following the cycling path 'Loire à vélo'. Discover the royal valley as you cycle along the majestic river where thousands of treasures await including numerous chateaux, wonderful landscapes and regional gastronomic delights. Discover the charms of the western part of the Loire valley, from Angers all the way to St Brevin Les Pins. A chance to visit the typical countryside of vineyards and chateaux, of salterns and marshes, and to finally 'take the plunge' into the Atlantic Ocean.

Shangri-La, an earthly paradise cut off from the world in a hidden Himalayan valley, a place where there is no war or suffering and where people live in peace and harmony through meditation and self-discipline, has excited people’s imaginations ever since James Hilton’s novel, Lost Horizon, was printed in 1933. However, the idea of a lost kingdom in the Himalayas can be traced back more than 4 centuries to the court of the Moghul emperor, Akbar. Now we will embark on our own cycling quest for this fabled utopia.

The journey begins in the bustling Vietnamese city of Saigon and continues up the country’s stunning coastline past the beach town of Nha Trang, the ancient trading port of Hoi An and the old Imperial capital of Hue. Turning inland the riders cross into Laos and spin along the Mekong River before heading through the mountains to the golden temples in Luang Prabang. The route heads back into Vietnam before leading into China, spinning past spectacular rice paddies on the way to the finish line in Shangri-La.

On our Portugal End to End tour you will cycle the length of this wonderful country from North to South mainly on the popular N2 route. The N2 in Portugal is known as Europe's Route 66. The tour starts in Chaves - located in Northern Portugal, next to the shores of Tâmega river and only a few kilometres away from Spain, Chaves is a city that has both a natural beauty and an incomparable historical and cultural legacy.

Accommodation is in good quality hotels that we have personally selected and visited. You will enjoy a fantastic breakfast each morning to fuel you for the day. Your luggage will be transferred each day. Our support van will be there in a jiffy if you need any assistance during the day. Water and bars and snacks are available without limit each day!

There is a lot of choice when it comes to stopping off for lunch in local cafés and restaurants. Lunch and evening meals are not included in the price. On occasions you may choose to have an evening meal together with the group, or you are free to stroll around and explore the local cuisine which Portugal is known for!

The "Salzkammergut" is known as the capital of The Sound of Music and belongs to one of the most charming regions in all of Austria: blue lakes, imposing mountains, green meadows and forests truly create a fairy tale landscape.

The pristine lakes Mondsee, Attersee, Traunsee and Wolfgangsee are the most well known bodies of water in the region.

Once in Zambia the cyclists will ride across the thinly populated countryside along the fabled Great East Road. At the sprawling Luangwa River, the cyclists will enjoy a camp overlooking its swirling waters with the country of Mozambique perched on the far shores. The route continues over rolling hills and past ageless Baobab trees before depositing the riders in Lusaka, Zambia’s bustling capital city.

From Lusaka to Livingstone the roads are flatter, passing through several larger towns with well-stocked shops. The cyclists will spin past maize and other hybrid seed plantations before arriving at the campsite in Livingstone. Victoria Falls is certainly one of the highlights on the Tour d'Afrique. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders", they are located on the Zambezi River between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Riders can choose from a variety of activities, ranging from a basic tour of the falls with drenching, jaw-dropping viewpoints, to the world’s 3rd highest bungee jump off the Zambezi River bridge, ultra-light flights and white water rafting.

Perched on the edge of the Baltic Sea, the riders can explore the splendid 14th century Old Town or the Art Museum of Estonia, housed in what was once the palace of Peter the Great. Departing Tallinn, the route takes the riders south across the rolling countryside before continuing along the shores of the Gulf of Riga. They will spin through Parnu, known as the ‘Riviera’ of Estonia, with its sandy beaches and waterfront promenade. The route continues into Latvia, stopping for a rest day in Riga, often referred to as the ‘Paris of the North’.

In Riga, the largest city in the Baltic States, the cyclists can wander through its pedestrian-only medieval Old Town and architecture buffs will marvel at Riga’s Art Nouveau heritage. The riders will spin south the next day, crossing the border into the third of the Baltic States, Lithuania. The route then takes the riders through small villages and vast forests before stopping in Vilnius, with its Baroque Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Crossing into Poland the tour will pass by some of the country’s most beautiful lakes before heading south to the capital of Warsaw and the end of this historic section.

Travelling Cambodia by bike is an incredible adventure! We cycle from Siem Reap and finish in Kampot (eleven days). The pace of all our tours is relaxed and casual. There’s always time to stop for a photo and we rarely cycle more than 2 days in a row. When the journey is just as good as the destination, there’s no need to rush!

Our reluctance to leave Adelaide’s wine bars behind is quickly forgotten, as we cross the Murray River and cycle along the Limestone Coast through the fertile lagoon landscapes of Coorong National Park. We will wind our way past Discovery Bay to the whale-watching centre of Warrnambool. The incredibly scenic Great Ocean Road takes us along the rugged Shipwreck and Surf coasts, through rainforests, and past sheer cliffs, waterfalls, and fantastic rock formations including the 12 Apostles. This stretch of our adventure ends in North Geelong, where we board the Spirit of Tasmania.

Heading south along the Atlantic, the cyclists will marvel at the rugged northern Spanish coast and feast on Basque tapas before exploring magical Santiago del Compostela. Finally, the road leads them to the finish line in captivating Lisbon, Portugal’s historic capital.

San Sebastián to Santander follows the Basque and Cantabrian coast west from San Sebastián's Old Quarter, tapas bars and txakolí wine, out via Monte Igeldo to the seaside resort of Zarautz, the "Mouse" of Getaria and the harbour town of Lekeitio on the Bay of Biscay.

The route continues past the flysch formations near Elantxobe, inland through the Urdaibai Estuary Nature Reserve to Guernica, then on to the chapel of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and the Basque industrialists' villas of Getxo, crossing the River Nervión on the World Heritage-listed Puente de Vizcaya transporter bridge to reach Bilbao's outskirts, with the Guggenheim Museum accessible by metro.

Continuing into Cantabria, riders pass the gothic harbour town of Castro Urdiales, griffon vulture cliffs at Sonabia and the anchovy port of Santoña, before a short ferry and boat crossing brings the route to Somo, Pedreña and finally Santander.
