Avoid much of the urban biking and the less scenic agricultural areas
Cycling down the California coast from Monterey to Santa Barbara via Big Sur on a bike tour avoids much of the urban biking and the less scenic agricultural areas of longer bike tours down the California coast. The first part of a Monterey to Santa Barbara bike tour focuses on the hilly, but spectacular Big Sur coast, with its rugged coastline and towering redwoods. South of Big Sur, cycling through San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County offers a diverse palette of marine wildlife viewing, historic missions, winery areas and surfers plying the waves of the Pacific Ocean off sandy beaches.

Mallorca is one of the prime cycling destinations in the world
It has so much to offer. A great climate which is ideal for cycling right through the season. The landscape is varied – often flat, but with the mountains in the north always close by. Beautiful villages and a combination of olive trees, pines, farmland, and the stunning coastline with its picturesque villages, crystal clear waters, and beautiful coves. The Mediterranean Sea is always close by and all our hotels on this circuit of the island are seaside hotels.
This is the more leisurely approach to Mallorca - smallpannier with beach towel and swimming costume, camera, maybe a picnic, shorter distances on a hybrid style bike or maybe an e-bike.
This particular tour is designed to be compatible with the Mallorca – Mediterranean Road Bike Tour. Both tours begin on the same day and use the same itinerary for the 8-night duration of the tours. The only difference is that the rides on this particular tour between each stopover are shorter. Thus, riders can choose to take shorter routes or longer routes. It also means the tour can accommodate riders of differing ability.
