Wales is a bit like Britain in miniature. Coast, mountains, tea rooms, castles, and even a visit to its very own island of Anglesey.

A 5 night 4 day road cycling trip covering approx. 220 miles, starting in Chepstow then passing through Brecon, Llanidloes and Barmouth before reaching Holyhead. While not as well known or anywhere near as long as Lands End to John o’Groats, this trip is one of the best ways to achieve the same kind of challenge in less time. Wherever possible we utilise country lanes and national cycle network paths, trying to avoid main roads. We ride at a pace that is well within the reach of a fit and competent cyclist.

Highlights:

  • A unique achievement: Wales end to end isn’t a route on everyone’s bucket list, so why not be unique?!
  • A different culture and language: cycle through communities where Welsh is the predominant language and the red dragon flag flies.
  • Varied landscapes: sea, coast, mountains, forests, islands – this tour has a bit of everything.
  • Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch: try and pronounce it if you dare!
  • The Wye Valley, and the river winding lazily down through it.
  • Snowdonia National Park: all of a sudden the mountains get bigger and more dramatic!
