The west coast of Ireland is rich in awe-inspiring landscapes, fascinating characters and foot-tapping music. Cycling Ireland End to End from the most southerly point to the most northerly will leave you with rich memories, new friends and a thirst for more! There is no better way to explore the wild beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way than from the saddle. The grandeur of the Cork and Kerry mountains. The warmth and joy of a night in a Galway pub. The lunar like landscape of the Burren. The packed mountain ranges dominating the horizon of the Connemara National Park. The giant Sea Loughs of the Inishowen Peninsula. Your Ireland end-to-end journey of 12 days has a breath-taking finish on the rocky promontory of Malin Head.

I did the 12 day tour with a lovely bunch of people from far and wide. We had unusually sunny weather for Ireland which really brought out the gorgeous scenery. Some of the scenery is so spectacular you may be conflicted with getting off your bike to take a photo or to continue riding. The tour staff were friendly and easy-going; they were relaxed with me bringing my Brompton folding bike. They set out a well-planned route with lunch stops at beaches and secluded locations. My favourite sections were through Country Clare, and in and out of Clifden.

I have done a number of cycling tours in several different countries............I can tell you that Wild Atlantic Cycling is by far, the best company I have ever used to date. Paul and John, the ride leaders, were the best I've had the pleasure of riding with. They had the unique ability to be both ride leaders and friends! As ride leaders, they were both very professional..............every need, every question, and every explanation were quickly taken care of. As friends, they were there after the ride to socialize and add a bit of humor to the conversations. The MizMal route was amazing and well thought out. Any cyclist who wants to ride a "stress free" tour with a group of your friends or by yourself and make new friends would be well served to contact Wild Atlantic Cycling and sign up for one of their many tours in several different countries!!

Great MizMal with Wild Atlantic Cycling Absolutely loved the cycle route chosen by the WAC team. It was a nice balanced combination of both beautiful country roads and challenging hills. The WAC team always had one cyclist on the ground to support the cyclists. The van was also available to assist with routine issues such as punctures and the occasional fall. There were opportunities for the somewhat avid cyclists to break a sweat whilst the scenery loving enthusiasts had time to take some treasured snaps. I would strongly recommend using WAC to take the hassle out of the logistics of cycling without deteriorating from the cycling experience itself.

Paul and John took turns in riding with the participants making sure nobody got lost. We were lucky with the weather and had a mix of picnic and cafe coffee breaks and lunches near beaches and local beauty spots. Great scenery all the way from end to end with a following breeze. The accommodation was varied and of a good standard in small villages and larger cities where the group socialised in the evenings. Good craic and music in local venues and new friendships formed.
