From the beaches of the Adriatic Sea in Italy to Slovenia and Croatia
The starting point of this cycle tour is “la Serenissima”, Venice the lagoon city on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. Cycling past the beaches of the classical holiday resorts of Jesolo and Caorle on the Italian Adriatic to Trieste, the former Habsburg seaport seated at the foothills of the Karst. Finish with a trip down the beautiful Croatian peninsula of Istria. An opportunity always presents itself to take a refreshing swim in the sea.
Due to this fact, you should never forget to pack your swim gear. Besides these beaches, the inland regions of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia offer countless sites with very special charm waiting to be discovered; Mediaeval fortress towns; Roman archaeological excavations; typical Italian Piazzas and buildings embossed with Venetian influences causing the visitor to forget time and space. While on the one side, the Adriatic stretches calmly and silently, the Julian Alps rise majestically to the north. The return journey to Venice can be done by boat. The cycle trip to Istria is flat until shortly before Trieste, then it continues slight hilly until Porec.

On the road bike in the growing area of the renowned pearl wine
Cycling in the Prosecco region is absolutely the best way to know this region framed in the north by the Alps and in the south by the river Piave, where green hills are covered by lush overgrown vineyards. What is waiting for you is a land full of charme, history and art, enriched by unexpected surprises bearing witness to its ancient past: fairy castles, aristocratic villas but also typical cellars where local people are keeping alive the pleasure of hospitality… you will absolutely need to taste their delicious local products!
In this area the winemaking tradition has ancient roots; the first written evidence of Prosecco dates back to 1772 and nowadays, even though sparkling wines are widespread throughout the whole country, only the product born from these particular graves, with its floral and fruity scent, can bring in the world the name of „Prosecco“.
A cycling tour on road bikes suitable to everybody, following good cycle paths and secondary roads far from heavy traffic. All overnights are in the same hotel.
