Flagship Bike Tours
Come as a guest, leave as a friend
Flagship Bike Tours Amsterdam are a locally run guided cycling tour and bike hire company based in central Amsterdam. They are the sister company of Flagship Amsterdam, one of the city’s largest canal boat operators, and belong to the wider Flagship family of Amsterdam boating businesses. They were founded by Lodewijk, a born-and-raised Amsterdammer who started as one of Flagship Amsterdam’s first captains and tour guides and rose to head of operations as the fleet grew from three boats to 58, before leaving to build the bike business as an official partner.
They run small-group rides with local guides, covering Amsterdam’s best-known landmarks, the UNESCO-listed canal belt and lesser-known corners of the city. Beyond the centre, they head into the surrounding countryside to visit windmills, villages and a working farm with cheese tasting. Their range also includes evening rides, a food and culture tour featuring Dutch specialities, a bike and boat combination that draws on their Flagship connection, and private tours tailored to families and groups. Riders use comfortable three-speed bikes with handbrakes, and they also offer hourly, daily and weekly bike hire from a base near Central Station.
Their approach centres on friendly, personal service and on cycling as a healthy, sustainable way to explore the city. Guests regularly highlight the knowledge of their guides and the condition of their bikes.
