Dutch countryside bike tour with cheese tasting and farm visit

This relaxed 3-hour guided ride escapes the city for the peaceful polder landscapes just north of Amsterdam. After a short ferry crossing to Amsterdam North, small groups follow a local guide through the green Noorderpark, past the historic Krijtmolen d'Admiraal windmill and along the Nieuwendammerdijk with its views over the water.

The route continues into Waterland, a landscape of canals, meadows and traditional villages including Zunderdorp and Ransdorp with its distinctive church tower. A highlight is the visit to a local farm, where riders meet cows, sheep and lambs and taste fresh Dutch sheep and cow cheese and milk, with cold drinks available.

Riding on comfortable 3-speed city bikes, the tour offers an authentic taste of rural Dutch life away from city traffic, and is often recommended for those less confident on a bike.
