OURWAY Tours
Guided tours in Scandinavia. Their way!
Being a family run business, they understand the importance of relationships.
From the beginning, we''ve wanted our customers and staff to be a part of the OURWAY family – to feel at home at all times, wherever they find themselves!
When we began building our tours in 2011, we asked ourselves ‘what do we love about our travel experiences that help us really feel at home?’
The answers came quickly; people, places, culture, customs, sights, sounds, food and fine beer…and then they realised something. The most obvious answer was in their own question…

Eminent structures, striking views and biking are three of our favourite things. From building material to architecture styles, cycle in the trail of master contractors on our bike tour of Stockholm’s Amazing Architecture.
Are your two favourite things, biking and architecture? Then this is the tour for you! With hundreds of kilometres of bike lane, flat terrain and an artistic mix of architecture, Stockholm is the perfect place to study city planning and design while biking. Peddle to the metal; there’s a lot to see on our Stockholm’s Amazing Architecture Private Bike Tour.
From older constructions such as the Parliament and Royal Dramatic Theater to more contemporary structures like the KTH School of Architecture and Hotel Scandic Continental, this tour gives you an overview of the many architectural styles represented in the Swedish capital. Together we’ll bike through Stockholm’s city centre, built on 14 islands, admiring fascinating buildings and impressive postcard-like views.
Biking from island to island, over bridges, along waterfronts and around buildings, we’ll show you the picturesque wooden buildings of the 1700s and bold, minimalistic architectural landmarks of today.
To keep you energised, we’ll also stop for a short break in a lovely surrounding, where we can sit and relax, use a restroom or buy a snack. Before you know it, it’s time to peddle back to where we started. Our private bike tour of Stockholm’s Amazing Architecture is over, but we guarantee there is plenty more to explore!
Please note: We will be biking mostly on flat surfaces as well as on a few hills. We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you on the tour.

In Denmark, even royalty bikes. That’s how big biking is! Do like Crown Princess Mary and put your feet to the peddles on our Royal Copenhagen Private Bike Tour. One Copenhagen royal hot spot to the next, here we come!
Looking for royal hot spots? Check out the bike lanes of Copenhagen! Crown Princess Mary is often seen peddling by on her cargo bike with one of her kids chilling in the front (perhaps more so when they were younger). So what better way to travel through town, talking about everything Royal in Copenhagen, than by bike?
From former home to office, to summer residence turned museum, we’ll zoom between palaces and royal must-sees on our bikes just like the Crown Princess. We’ll answer questions like: What’s the story behind the beloved Royal Family with high approval ratings?… How did the Crown Prince and Princess meet?… and, which king built half of the city? Get to know Danish royalty and the city of Copenhagen, cycling from one sight to another on our way to two of Copenhagen’s many palaces, Christiansborg Palace and Rosenborg Palace.
The Queen of Denmark and the Danish Parliament share a coffee machine and office space (well, they share the palace at least) at the island palace, Christiansborg. Marvel at the luxurious interior and sensational history of this place. Not to be missed: the Queen’s Tapestries! Back on our bikes, we set off in the direction of the old town. Though mostly destroyed in fires and war, there are still many old buildings and streets to enjoy. We’ll see the Copenhagen Cathedral, where the Crown Prince and Princess married in 2004, and Amalienborg Palace, where they live today.
If you’re not palaced out by now, we’ll hit the countryside (well, it was some time ago at least) and arrive at Rosenborg Palace, a previous summer residence and today, home to the Treasury. From fabulous crown jewels to cargo bikes, as we end the Royal Copenhagen Private Bike Tour, we’ll have biked in the wheel tracks of the Danish Royals of past and present.
Please note: We will be biking mostly on flat surfaces. We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you on the tour. Due to Her Majesty the Queen’s official functions, Christiansborg Palace and Rosenborg Palace may be partially or fully closed. Guests are not able to bring bags into the castle, all bags need to be stored in the lockers found at Rosenborg Castle. Vor Frue Kirke (Copenhagen Cathedral) may sometimes be closed due to religious ceremonies.

Want to see the many regal locations of Oslo? Our Royal Oslo Private Bike Tour covers the ruins of Old Oslo, a medieval castle, the residence of Norway’s King & Queen and the site of royal weddings. How’s that for a start?
Are you the active type hoping to experience a Bicycle Monarchy? Usually, we would recommend the Netherlands or Denmark for that, but since you are already here, let’s make an exception. On our Royal Oslo Private Bike Tour, we give homage to the Norwegian Royals by exploring the city centre, home to the charming Royal Palace, the stronghold Akershus Fortress and Oslo Cathedral.
Let’s start by examining the Royal Palace, the official living quarters of the King & Queen. As we make our way through the palace grounds, let us introduce you to the Queen’s and her interest in arts and the King’s as well as his sportiness on the world stage. We’ll answer questions such as where the Norwegian Monarchy descend from (it’s not what you think)? How the Crown Princ and Mette Marit met? How many palaces the Norwegian Royal Family have at their disposal?
A hop, skip, and a jump from the Royal Palace, we find the Oslo Cathedral, the main church of Norway and where a commoner became a Crown Princess in 2001. From church to fortress, it’s time to mount our bikes and cycle zoom over to Akershus Fortress. A former royal residence, built to protect the city, the castle has also been used as a military base and prison. Today it serves as the temporary office of the Prime minister of Norway.
Before you know it, time is up, but before we let you go, we’ll make time for the ruins of medieval Oslo, where we’ll kneel before Harald III, the last Viking King and founder of Oslo and wander through the ruins of the Old Town. There it is our Royal Oslo Private Bike Tour!
Please note: We will be biking on flat surfaces as well as on a few hills. We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you on the tour. Akershus Fortress and The Royal Palace will be seen from the outside only. Oslo Domkyrka (Oslo Cathedral) may sometimes be closed due to religious ceremonies.

Coming back down again, we happen upon a giant chandelier at Blå, a super-popular food hall at Vulkan, and the charming collections of old wooden houses from the 1800s at Telthusbakken and Damsrtedet. Pretty soon, we’re back at the starting point. Of course, we’ll have made a stop at Mathallen, the food hall, to stretch our legs and grab a snack during our tour. Hopefully, by now, you’ll have fallen in love with what we like to describe as Oslo’s hipster mecca, Grünerløkka.
