Local hangouts, trendy neighbourhoods, hidden treasures – discover a different side of Oslo on our Oslo’s Urban Treasures Private Bike Tour. Architectural gems, medieval ruins, and waterside rides, the photo ops are plenty!
“Let’s go back there later!” No doubt this is something you’ll be saying at least once during your three hour Oslo’s Urban Treasures Private Bike Tour. We’ll make sure you’ve seen the main attractions, and a few hidden ones too, covering plenty of turf as Oslo is the perfect size to enjoy a leisurely ride through and around town.
Hopping on our bikes, we’ll ride past the Olso Opera House, leading us out to East Oslo and the foundations of the city – the Old Town of Oslo. As the name indicates, it’s the location of the old town mainly consisting of ruins created by an enormous fire almost 400 years ago. From ruins to riverside, we’ll ride from one district to the next, crossing through East Oslo’s Kampen and Tøyen areas before arriving in the city’s hipster, trendy district. Have you heard of Grüneløkka? If not, you’re about to! In short, here you’ll find a fabulous food hall, and an abundance of restaurants and bars, there’s plenty of things to enjoy!
Hoping to see a royal? We can’t guarantee anything, but we’ll at least introduce you to the Royal Palace and the lovely hilltop view of part of the city centre. Cruising down the hill to the Oslo Fjord, we’ll reach the harbour and have a fantastic view of Aker Brygge, Akershus Fortress and the Oslo City Hall. Before you know it, we’re back to where we began and three hours have flown by. Of course, we’ll have made a stop along the way to stretch our legs and grab a snack before we’ve finished our tour and we can say we’ve seen Oslo’s Urban Treasures.
Please note: We will be biking on flat surfaces as well as on a few hills. The beginning of the route is uphill for the most part. The reward is a long ride downhill once past Kampen. We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you on the tour.
