Like Périgord, Quercy is a historic province of France - the region now belongs to multiple départements
Quercy’s defining features are the causses, or limestone plateaus, formed by centuries of wear and tear from the local rivers. Some of these causses are topped by chateaux or fortresses, while towns and villages have been built into the cliffside. Others have been left in their natural state, a sight no less beautiful to behold. What’s more, these causses provide the perfect nursery for one of the region’s culinary claims to fame: la truffe noire, or black truffles.
This itinerary has been designed to allow your complete immersion in the sumptuous pleasures of Quercy, including some of its most magnificent villages: Saint-Céré, Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, Rocamadour, Padirac, and more. The cycling itinerary will get you moving for an ‘active’ vacation, while the sights, sounds, scents and, of course, the tastes will transport you to a state of pure bliss. The only way you could improve this vacation is to make it longer…

They say that good things come in small packages, and that is certainly true for the Italian island of Sicily.
On this tour, you will experience the cultural, architectural, and culinary heritage of the island’s southeastern region, cycling through the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine empires...in just eight days!
The stars of the itinerary are the historic towns of the Val di Noto, rebuilt in the Baroque style following a catastrophic earthquake in 1693. Together, they are recognized as a collective UNESCO World Heritage Site for their architectural and artistic achievements. From the ornate scalinata of Caltagirone to the exquisite churches of Ispica, there is no shortage of wonders to admire.
Moderate daily distances along quiet roads will lead you from hilltop town to hilltop town, culminating at the coast and the ancient, noble city of Syracuse. Culinary delights of the region include the chocolate of Modica, traditional cheeses, Nero d’Avola wine, and an array of seafood ranging from anchovies to octopus- all guaranteed to fuel your legs and your spirit.

When you think of Bordeaux, one image likely comes to mind: you, watching the sunset over miles of vineyards, a glass of wine in hand. It’s not far from the truth!
From Pauillac to Saint Emilion, the Bordelais region is world-famous for its fine wines, and this tour will allow you to become familiar with all the reds, whites, and rosés (but mostly reds) you could wish for. Believe it or not, though, there is more to Bordeaux than just wine. The tour will also take you through medieval villages and historic ruins, with more World Heritage Sites than you can count. You’ll enjoy an amazing blend of past and present, history and culture, all set to a picturesque landscape...and a deep Bordeaux red.

By exploring the Apulian countryside by bicycle, you will fall in love with the breathtaking landscapes featuring endless groves of olive and citrus trees as well as stunning sea coasts.
Even the coastline will have a variety of beaches, grottos, gullys, and lighthouses! If you are keen on history and art, Apulia has beautiful streets and incredible local architecture (Arab, Byzantine, Spanish and Norman). The Otranto Cathedral, a highlight of this tour, has one of the largest floor mosaics in Europe. This tour also features castles, ornate basilicas, and ancient ruins. Lecce’s roman theater is one such ruin, but the Salento region is also home to neolithic cave paintings, known as “the Sistine Chapel of Prehistory.” Being along the coast, the food you’ll be eating is as fresh as can be, especially if you love seafood. This tour truly has something for everyone!

This six-day, self-guided bike tour allows you to explore the heart of Provence at your own pace
This six-day, self-guided bike tour allows you to explore the heart of Provence at your own pace. Beginning in Bédoin or Mazan and ending in Roussillon or Gargas, this bicycle tour features relatively short daily rides, allowing you to fully experience Provence rather than just see it as you pass by.
Highlights include visits to some of Provence’s most acclaimed wine-making towns — Vacqueyras, Gigondas, Beaumes de Venise — stops in several of France’s “most beautiful villages — Séguret, Gordes, Roussillon — and options to climb legendary Mont Ventoux, or snake through the Gorges de la Nesque. In between, you’ll lodge in timeless villages and enjoy local cuisine.
One needs a fairly good fitness level to fully enjoy this extraordinary trip: Although challenging Ventoux can be skipped, some sections involve some climbing.

Experience the essence of Switzerland on a cycling tour from the French-speaking section all the way to the German-speaking part
Yes, this means plenty of cheese(you’ll stop in Gruyères, home of the famed Gruyère cheese) and plenty of chocolate. Trust us, the Swiss have good taste (buds)! You’ll pedal through noted vineyards and famous cheese-producing villages, tour medieval castles and visit Gothic cathedrals, look up at towering mountain peaks and look down at shimmering alpine lakes, and lodge every night in top-rated towns bursting with beautiful views and delicious dining opportunities.
Start in Geneva, a multicultural jewel where you’ll overhear many languages aside from French. Your biking adventure commences alongside quaint vineyards and the stunning Lac Léman as you head to Lausanne. Next up is Gruyères, where you mustn’t leave without a bite of cheese — or a pot of fondue. Take in the endless beauty as you pass through Lavaux (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). When you really feel like your eyes can’t handle anymore, you’ll enter the medieval town of Fribourg. Conclude your trip with panoramic views of Lake Thun (Thoune in French), gently rolling hills in the Bernoise countryside, and a night in Interlaken, one of the world’s adventure capitals.

An olfactory riding adventure in Provence
Embrace the wonderful colors and perfume-like scents of Provence's favorite fragrant bloom on a tour through the region's favorite lavender fields. Our itinerary is a celebration of lavender in all its forms, whether cultivated by locals or growing wild in the fields, in soaps and oils or even in edible treats.
Located between the Alps and Provence, our Lavender Route highlights both regions. With an exceptional Mediterranean climate, it is very typical for the region to receive about 300 days of sun per year. The true draw of this region, however, is the unmistakable and calming aroma of endless lavender fields combined with pure Alpine-fresh mountain air — an invigorating fragrance for an active holiday with a relaxing feel.
Riding through contrasting landscapes, you’ll pass the Gorges of Verdon (France’s “Grand Canyon”), climb to the hilltop village of Valensole and its spectacular lavender-covered plateau, and meander through hills and valleys bordering the Luberon. You’ll visit places steeped in history and tradition, such as Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (famous for its Faïence pottery), the medieval citadel of Manosque, as well as the spa towns of Digne-les-Bains and Gréoux-les-Bains. (Bains, if you couldn’t tell, means “baths” — as in thermal baths!)
This is an extraordinary tour that’s best enjoyed by those who bike regularly. The terrain involves some hills and climbs, but the payoff is more than worth it. Once immersed in this charming landscape, you will have no difficulty understanding why Alain Ducasse and fellow prestigious chefs have found their culinary inspiration in this region. It’s hard not to be captivated by the variety of local produce and specialties: truffles, olive oil, honey, rosemary, thyme, and, of course, lavender.
This trip is the only one that truly focuses on lavender. We do have other bike trips that will take you through other lavender-growing areas... but you won't see (and smell) as much lavender.
Peak lavender season is in July.

With more than 4,000 kilometers of greenways, bikeways, bicycle paths, and lanes, Alsace is France's most bike-friendly region.
Young, old, fast, and slow riders share this extensive network that links places of amazing beauty, making cycling the best way — by far — to visit this very unique region of France.
And unique it certainly is! Long disputed over by France and Germany, Alsace has inherited traits characteristics of both cultures and countries and blended them together to create its own special world. Keep your ears open and you’ll hear not French… not German… but the Alsatian tongue.
Our Classic Alsace tour celebrates the elements that make Alsace one of a kind. Our route along regional waterways will carry you from picturesque town to postcard-perfect villages. Since it’s the wine route, you can look forward to vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see! In the evening, you can search for the most appealing-looking bistro (or Michelin-starred restaurant!) to enjoy tarte flambée, sausage, or choucroute, an Alsatian take on sauerkraut.

From Sarlat in the heart of Périgord to Cahors, the capital of Lot, each day you cycle along the Dordogne and Lot Rivers is certain to delight
Some of the best-preserved prehistoric cave paintings can be found in P√©rigord, and some are still open to the public! We suggest you set aside time on your last day to visit Pech-Merle, an art gallery featuring 25,000-year-old masterpieces! More “recent” marvels include Sarlat, one of Europe’s largest medieval cities; the Causses of Quercy, and innumerable castles.
Cyclists who fancy themselves gourmets — and even those who don’t! — will be treated to nightly feasts highlighting some of France’s most celebrated cuisine. This is the land of duck and goose dishes, of foie gras and truffles, of rich Cahors wine and walnut-based liqueurs. Don’t worry about over-indulging — this is your vacation, and with easy rides on quiet back roads, you can enjoy everything at your own pace.
