WomanTours is a women-only bike tour operator that has been running small, fully-supported cycling holidays since 1995. The company creates small, inn-to-inn road bicycle tours for women, offering both domestic tours across the United States and international bike tours worldwide. Every trip is fully supported with two guides and a support vehicle, which carries luggage, provides meals, marks the route, and fits participants to a bicycle if needed.
Tours are designed for women of all ages, abilities and interests. Some travellers come with a roommate, others come solo and are matched with one, and everyone rides at their own pace, with the option to skip miles via the support van. E-bike hire is also available for those wanting electric assistance.
WomanTours states its mission as providing women of all ages and abilities the opportunity to experience the wonders of bicycling in a safe and supportive environment, promoting cycling as a way to learn about other cultures, the environment and themselves.
The tour range is extensive, spanning leisurely rail-trail rides and weekend getaways through to advanced multi-week cross-country epics, plus international trips covering Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. Destinations include national parks, wine regions, coastal trails and bike-and-barge cruises.
