Burlington, Vermont to Quebec City Bike Tour

This bike tour to Quebec starts in the lakeside city of Burlington, Vermont. from where we bike north, tracing the Richelieu and St. Lawrence rivers to Quebec City. Explore charming Burlington, VT, and its vibrant dining scene. Cycle through the patchwork farmland of the Champlain Islands to the Canadian border, where you’ll follow the Chambly Canal to Fort Chambly and the Richelieu River through small towns and past historic churches until it confluences with the mighty St. Lawrence River. We Ferry across the St. Lawrence to ride the Chemin du Roy, the original route between Montreal and Quebec City. Ride along the St. Lawrence’s north shore, stop to sample local cheese at an organic fromagerie, then enter Quebec City via the Promenade-Samuel-de-Champlain bike path. Cycle through the rural oasis of Ile d’Orleans, a predominantly agricultural island in the middle of the St. Lawrence. Indulge in local wines, hard cider, berries, and cheeses from roadside stands and visit artists in their private studios.
