Our bike tour from Ottawa to Montreal departs from Burlington, Vermont, with a drive up into Canada, or you may meet the group at the hotel in Ottawa. Before setting out, explore Canada’s capital city via its extensive network of bike paths. Watch as boats navigate the Rideau Canal below the impressive Parliament Building. Ride along the car-free Gatineau Parkway before visiting the National Gallery or exploring the lively Byward Market. Cycle out of the city and along the river, which you’ll cross by ferry to the largest log cabin in the world, the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello.
From here, there are a number of scenic loop rides from which to choose, revealing eastern Ontario’s historic villages, rural farmland, and even an interesting microbrewery. Wind your way along bike paths parallel to the St. Lawrence River, stopping at the bustling Atwater Market for lunch. Continue to Montreal’s historic port, where you can settle in at your chic hotel. Take a stroll through Old Montreal before a fabulous French dinner.
