Bike the Tour de L’Île
Our bike tour in Montreal kicks off on the shores of Lake Champlain in Burlington, Vermont. Follow the Island Line Trail north from Burlington, then hop on a bike ferry to cruise across to the Lake Champlain Islands. Visit the tiny village of North Hero, as well Vermont’s first vineyard and winery. Once you cross the border into Canada, you’ll bike along the Richelieu River to St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, breaking for lunch at the beautiful Ile-aux-Noix, home to the Fort Lennox National Historic Site of Canada. Follow the Path du Canal-de-Chambly north along with a series of locks to the village of Chambly. From there, ride a series of bike paths into Montreal, where you’ll stay in a hotel at the edge of the Latin Quarter and the Quartier des Spectacle. On your final morning, join your tour group and 15,000 others for the annual, festive Tour de L’Ile, a 35-mile, cordoned-off route through the streets of Montreal.
