World's Toughest Climb - At Your Own Pace
Taiwan WuLing 3275m, is the highest passable road atop HeHuanShan & Taroko gorge near Hualien county. Wuling is the end point of the annual KoM Challenge Race organised by the Taiwan Cyclist Federation in October.
It attracts professionals, elites & enthusiasts from more than 50 countries, including former Giro d’Italia and Tour de France winner Vincenzo Nibali & 2010 Time Trial World Champion Emma Pooley just to named a few.
The actual KoM Challenge Race has a strict cut-off time of just 6.5hours (timed section 85km) where competitors need to climb from sea-level near the entrance of Taroko Gorge ear Hualien up to 3275m Wuling. This might be too tough for many cyclists.
SCT created this Taiwan KoM Experience Tour so that any cyclist could join us to ride the same journey and reach the top of 3275m, At Your Own Pace, to complete it.
Our itinerary split the ride into 1.5 days, with a one night stay up in the mountain lodge near Wuling summit. This way, you can enjoy the journey, the great mountain view & fresh air, before continuing the most demanding final 15km ascend the next day. There is a seat to provide that needed support should you need it.
Highlights:
+ Experience cycling up one of the Most Iconic Climb in the World
+ Scenic cycling along the east coast near Taroko gorge

Best road cycling in east coast Malaysia
Sedili or Tanjung Sedili is a coastal region in the state of Johor, in Peninsular Malaysia.
Into our 10th edition now, we keep going back back to do this trip because it is such a pleasant ride, giving you sufficient distance, roling terrain to tire out those legs and yet within doable limits for almost everyone!
Since 2013, we have been cycling to Sedili from Woodlands through JB & Kota Tinggi, returning back toDesaru Pengerang via Road 99.
With 11Jan2020 as the last trip, we have now officially retired that route due to the customs crossing & heavy traffic in Johor Bahru area & trunk Road 3.
Replacing that trip is the current Sedili 170, where we have decided to replace the Singapore-Malaysia land-crossing at Woodlands with the ferry bumboat ride between Changi-Pengerang. We want a safer & more pleasant overall experience for our cyclists.
Sedili 170 is arguably The Best Road Cycling in the east coast of Malaysia. No traffic Lights, endless tarmac awaiting you! & Chill out at a nice seaside resort thereafter!
HIGHLIGHTS
+ short weekend getaway overseas ride
+ nearly non-stop road cycling on straight roads
+ good mix of straight flats & undulating terrain for superb conditioning
+ view of the Desaru coast & South China sea

Cycle across the border via causeway from Singapore to the UNESCO heritage town of Malacca in Malaysia.
Following the old trunk road, we skirt past local towns like Pekan Nanas, Pontian, Batu Pahat & Muar, before arriving to Malacca. SCT has a few segments that venture into quieter kampong roads for some parts of the journey. Taste the delicious local Straits Chinese or "nonya" food & famous chendol/chicken rice balls in Melaka before we load up our bikes onto the coach to drive back to Singapore.
Malacca, also spelled Melaka, is a coastal state in southwestern Malaysia, famous for her rich cultural heritage, following the colonial rule of Portuguese, Dutch & British. At its center, Jonker Street, Chinatown’s main thoroughfare, is known for antique shops and its night market. Malacca’s traditional culture is also carried on by the Baba & Nyonya who are descendants of the Chinese delegates of Ming Dynasty where they emigrated from China and settled here.
