Thailand Gulf Coast

This eight-day eBike ride follows Thailand's Gulf Coast from Bangkok to Koh Samui, where sea wind, salt air and the easy hush of flat coastal roads set a gentle rhythm from start to finish. After a morning visit to the Wat Yai Suwannaram temple, riders head for Chao Samran Beach and the Royal Project aquaculture areas, then cross the salt farming region and the Cha Am crab market to reach Hua Hin and its lively night market.

The route continues into Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park to explore its limestone caves and karst hills, before following the coastline past towering swiftlet condominiums to the beachfront village of Ban Krut. From there, riders roll along the Ban Krut and Don Samran beaches and through Ao Sayam National Park, passing shrimp farms and tidal basins, with many days close enough to the sea for a swim along the way.

The longest ride follows the Royal Road across the Kra Isthmus on a dedicated bike path, taking in the Red Cliffs of Sai Thong and the Grand Sand Dune Park before arriving in Chumphon. A ferry then carries the group across to Koh Samui for a free beach day and a farewell dinner. Nights are spent in boutique beachside resorts with traditional Thai touches, with bilingual guides, a support van and seafood dinners by the water throughout.

Newer or casual riders wanting an easy, flat eBike journey along the coast, with beaches, seafood and swims along the way. Pre-tour conditioning of roughly three cumulative hours in the saddle is suggested.
