On the tropical island of Borneo, we tackle two countries, 8 international crossings and 1,370 kilometers in 12 cycling days! We cycle end-to-end, travelling East to West from the Malaysian state of Sarawak, to ends in style in the eastern Sabah state, and along the way cross the border into the Kingdom of Brunei.

We start by riding out of the charming capital of Sarawak, Kuching, on mostly flat terrain through thick mangrove forests, paddy fields and plantations. Passing through a fascinating mix of fishing villages, rustic old towns, remote national parks and vibrant coastal cities, the first half of the ride allow you to discover Sarawak's interesting mix of tribal cultures and fascinating wildlife.

After a relaxing rest day at the seaside resort city of Miri, we continue the second half of the trip by crisscrossing into the Kingdom of Brunei, the richest oil rich country in the world, to discover it’s colorful mosques and rural villages.

Entering Malaysia state of Sabah is the final and most challenging leg of the trip.  The dramatic mountains of the Crooker Range offered stunning landscape and tough climbs before the thrilling descend down from the base camp of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Borneo, to our final destination of Kota Kinabalu.
