This takes you via the Central Lakes with stunning views of Mt Cook. An 8 day cycling tour with an optional extra 2 days

This tour travels through the centre of the South Island via the Canterbury Plains and through the Rakaia Gorge. We then cross Burkes Pass before cycling the Tekapo hydro canals and pass glacier lakes with stunning views of Mt Cook before the barren Mackenzie Country. After crossing the Lindis Pass, the last few days cycle through the more arid Central Otago region with vineyards and orchards before finishing the tour in the tourist hotspot of Queenstown.

Some road tours you will be cycling on road with traffic.  Please obey NZ road rules and keep left and visible to motorists at all times.  Please be aware some NZ roads / highways may be busy (during peak holiday season December – February) and some areas may be narrow with little shoulder to cycle on.

Highlights
Canterbury Plains, Rakaia Gorge, Mackenzie Country, Tekapo Hydro Canals, Mt Cook, Southern Lakes, Vineyards, Orchards and Historic Goldfields.
