The Little River Rail Trail follows the route of a 19th century railway and offers stunning views of lake Te Waihora and its resident birdlife. The trail ends in the rustic country village of Little River, where an award-winning local café provides well-earned refreshments. Quiet roads, gentle gradients and beautiful scenery make the Little River Rail Trail a fantastic outing for families and cyclists with little to no riding experience.

Cycle alongside the flanks of ancient volcanoes and the shores of Te Whiahora/ Lake Ellesmere. Experience stunning lake scenery, a classic wetland ecosystem and birdlife galore. The tour ends in the picturesque farming village of Little River.

This tour is a great extension to any tour ending in Queenstown or as a stand alone tour with its own merits. South of Queenstown offers some great cycling and scenic country. The wonders of Milford Sound can not be missed and always prove to be a highlight of any trip in the region. From Milford, we head south deeper into farming country until we have to head North East back up toward our final destination of Dunedin.

We kick things off by exploring the abundant network of trails in Christchurch’s Port Hills and Adventure Park, before heading west to take on Canterbury’s hidden gem that is the Craigieburn Trails.
Get excited, the iconic Old Ghost Road is up next. From Lyell, we follow the 85km trail through thick beach forest, along rocky ridges, down the infamous Skyline staircase and out through the Mohikinui River Gorge to Seddonville.

The 19th century trail was once created to connect gold fields between the Buller Gorge and the Mohikinui Valley, although it was never finished as the trail was deemed too rugged!

Our expert mountain biking guides will drive you from A to B, muster up a homecooked meal and even treat you to a skills session. You’ll also enjoy classic Kiwi hospitality in a mix of alpine lodges and remote huts with unbeatable views.

The route travels in a southern direction through the middle of the South Island crossing two passes, Burkes and Lindis Pass, via the Canterbury Plans and the barren Mackenzie Country and into the more arid central Otago area. From Queenstown and up over the Crown Range and the Haast Pass to the West Coast and back over Arthurs Pass to Christchurch.

This tour covers the Westcoast in record time, utilising the Tranzalpine to cross the Alps and then racing down the coast. One easy warm up day then three long days and a moderate/easy day to finish. Suitable for the fitter, more experienced cyclist. You get all the same sights as on the longer tour but more cycling!

You’ll explore the icy wonders of the Franz Josef glacier before passing through the impressively named Gates of Haast en route to Wanaka and Queenstown.

The ride along the rugged West Coast of the South Island has been rated as one of the top 5 rides in the World. This tour takes 10 days as it makes its way from Christchurch to Queenstown taking in plenty of highlights along the way. The road hugs the coastline as it dips and undulates down  towards Haast Pass. We bike through the Gates of Haast and onto Wanaka and Queenstown. This tour is great for all abilities of riders as the support vehicle is always there so you can bike as much or as little as you like.

Explore the full Lake Dunstan, Clutha Gold and Roxburgh Gorge trails at the perfect pace on this fully supported trip.

After warming up on the stunning Queenstown Trails we head to Lake Dunstan and follow the glistening lake’s edge to Cromwell.  From here we explore the Cromwell Heritage Precinct and wine country of Bannockburn through to the charming town of Clyde.

The following days see us complete the Clutha Gold and Roxburgh Gorge Trails as we continue to explore Central Otago’s rocky landscapes along the Clutha / Mata‑au River. Charming country towns and warm hospitality are all part of the package, as is delicious food & wine and ample opportunity to meet the locals.

The journey begins by visiting the breathtaking Marlborough Sounds before heading towards the golden sandy beaches of the Abel Tasman. Riding along flat or gently rolling terrain, through vineyards and along coastal tracks, we arrive at the stunning Lake Rotoiti in the Nelson Lakes National Park surrounded by high mountain peaks. Our final day returns us to Christchurch over the scenic Lewis Pass after the unique Natural Flames experience. This is a fun and active adventure which will be enjoyed by adults and children alike and is suited to beginner cyclists.

Spend a relaxed sunny day cycling through some of New Zealand’s world-class vineyards. The Waipara Valley is known for its spicy and rich Pinot Noirs, Rieslings and other aromatic varieties and now boasts a new, off-road bicycle trail linking together some of the region’s finest wineries. This easy, fully-guided tour is perfect for all wine and food fanatics.

You’ll be picked up and driven north to your first cellar door for morning coffee and your first sampling experience. After another wine tasting in the quaint little town of Waipara it’ll be time to get on your bikes. You’ll cycle along quiet country roads to join the wine trail which will take you to lunch. You’ll learn about the rich history of the region, while tasting and selecting the perfect wine to accompany your delicious antipasto shared platter. After a lazy lunch (shared platter), you’ll hop back on the bikes and ride through rolling vineyards to your final winery destination.
