From the high alpine passes of Arthur Pass to the fertile Canterbury Plains and the endless sandy East Coast beaches.

Starting and finishing in Christchurch, this tour begins with one of New Zealand’s most scenic rail journeys (train ticket not included in tour package price) into the heart of the Southern Alps. From there we travel past the spiritual vortex of Castle Hill and the High Country Station of Benmore into the small rural town of Springfield. The next two days are spent crossing the Canterbury Plains and skirting along the foothills until we reach the East Coast.

An easy three day introduction to cycle touring for the inexperienced cyclist.

Highlights
Scenic Trans Alpine Train journey, Alpine Passes, endless beaches and good looking sheep!
