The route starts near Kanab, Utah and ends in Moab, Utah. This is Utah’s world renowned “back-of-beyond” landscapes, including the new Bear’s Ears National Monument, Capitol Reef National Park and the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. The Hayduke crosses only a few paved roads in its 440-miles of riding and as a result, offers unparalleled exploration and discovery.

In southern Utah nature throws out the rule book. Rock shaped by 50-million years of water has sculpted a jaw-dropping landscape of weird and wild shapes. This is a region of extremes: of distance, of darkness, of silence.

The Hayduke Trail is considered an MTB Gravel Grinder. What this means is that riding is not an overly technical ride. The trail surface is on small, rugged and remote jeep roads. The riding is downright fun! Prior to riders actually experiencing the Hayduke we often hear that “I want to ride singletrack”, but after riding the Hayduke a cyclist who was a singletrack junkie said to us that they thought it “was the best mountain bike ride they (I) have ever done”.

This carefully crafted cycling adventure spins a stunning route through the picturesque Grand Mesa, Gunnison, and White River National Forests plus over some iconic mountain passes (called “cols” in Europe) including Kebler Pass, Cottonwood Pass (newly paved), Independence Pass, and McClure Pass. We also visit and spend time in both Crested Butte, Colorado and Aspen, Colorado – two different, but equally enchanting Rocky Mountain towns.

Our Shenandoah bike tour delivers small road riding that twists, turns and climbs through what we feel is the best rolling hill cycling topography in eastern North America. Cyclists ride through the verdant Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains of Virginia experiencing the rich history of the land and that of the Civil War Confederacy. The Shenandoah Valley is well suited for upper intermediate to advanced cyclists.

The word Shenandoah is of unknown origin, though the most popular and romanticized belief is that it derives from a Native American expression for “Beautiful Daughter of the Stars.”

The Redrocks tour is a supported lodge to lodge road cycling tour that follows a Seldom Seen route through the Redrock Canyon Country of western Colorado and eastern Utah. This iconic region boasts striking geologic features, numerous prehistoric cultural sites and encompasses some of the “greatest unexplored wilderness in the country”. If one was to ride just one tour in the American West, this is the one to experience.

The Redrock Canyons is still our best bike tour with unmatched scenery and fantastic lodging. It is a superb tour for all abilities ranging from intermediate to E.F.I. (every freaking inch) riders. Although the Redrock Canyons tour appears to be a big mileage tour, the mileage segments are determined by the distance between lodges in this remote landscape, as such we cater each day so that intermediate level riders enjoy themselves immensely. Big Bend is the largest, most remote, and least visited National Park in the lower 48 states. The combination of 8,000-foot mountains and Chihuahuan desert together make Big Bend the most biologically diverse landscape in the North America. The region offers surprisingly good singletrack, rugged jeep trails and warm temperatures to MTB riders. The weather is best ridden in the late winter/early spring and late fall months.

Pedal from the lush Lakes Region of New York, cross Lake Champlain by ferry, climb Vermont’s Green Mountains, descend back to an island for a stay in the middle of Lake Champlain, cross the border into the vibrant city of Montreal and finally return via train along Lake Champlain. Lizard Head Cycling’s owner, John Humphries, attended college in Vermont and knows the Green Mountain state well. With mountains, islands and Montreal as the final destination, this is one of our best touring experiences that is not to be missed.

It is an exceptionally scenic route that showcases the high mountains, National Parks & hot springs (ahhh!) of the Four Corners Region. Cyclists can join he Z-2-T and ride for 4-days, 1-week or the entire 2-weeks. Over the course of its 2-weeks the tour climbs the elevated plateaus of Utah, the mighty San Juan Mountains of Colorado and the continental divide in New Mexico.

The Willamette Valley Oregon Bike Tour offers miles and miles of quiet rural roads along gentle rolling terrain weaving through the farmlands and vineyards of the fertile Willamette Valley with some of the tour following the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway. The Willamette Valley is a quality wine producing region on par with California (but far less known) with riders enjoying great riding and exceptional wine on this tour.
