The Rwanda Gravel Adventure is an 11-day bikepacking trip (8 days of cycling) through one of Africa's most beautiful and welcoming countries.
Known as the 'Land of a Thousand Hills', Rwanda offers challenging terrain, stunning landscapes, and unforgettable cultural experiences. Each cycling day offers both a long and short route option, so you can match the distance to your fitness and how you feel that morning. This trip combines world-class gravel riding with visits to local communities and coffee and tea plantations. Expect challenging climbs, rewarding descents, and a deep connection with this remarkable country. Are you ready to go on this bikepacking adventure through Rwanda?
You ride on your own terms, with the people you booked with. No unknown group to keep up with, no fixed pace. We take care of the route, the accommodation, and the backup. The GPS is loaded, the beds are booked, and Kees is reachable if anything comes up. You just ride.
Terrain: Red laterite gravel, dirt tracks, tarmac and classic bikepacking terrain
On a nice sidenote, Kees participated in the 1000km ultra race around Rwanda in 2025. It was one of the experiences that made him start Legendary Rides.
