Tauern Valley and Salzburg

Travel from the 'Hohe Tauern' National Park to Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart, passing serene rural landscapes and friendly villages, all set against a dramatic backdrop of towering mountains. On this trip you will bicycle mainly downhill through the valleys of the Salzkammergut in the Western part of Austria from Krimml towards Salzburg, one of my favorite towns in Europe, which we'll explore extensively. During the trip you will visit the gorge near St. Johann and the salt mines at Hallein. You'll delight in the beautiful scenery, exceptional food, and hospitable people.
