Eat your way through Rome on this unique Bike Tour

Italy is known for its food, and Rome has a distinct culinary culture worth celebrating. On this food bike tour, you'll get the best of both worlds - a fun bike tour combined with a delicious food tour! Since we aren't limited to walking distance, we can take you to some of the most interesting and mouthwatering spots in the city. We'll cycle through two of Rome's most charming neighborhoods: Trastevere and Testaccio.

The first stop is near our office in the Jewish Ghetto for fried artichoke, one of the best known dishes of Roman cuisine and a must-try. Next, we'll cycle off into the picturesque Trastevere to stop at a family run "salumeria" to sample locally produced meats and cheeses from the Roman countryside, just outside the city, along with locally produced wine. Then we'll zip over to a super popular "tavola calda" to try suppli, the famous Roman fried ball of rice & cheese.

Hope you're still hungry, because now we'll ride across the river and over to Testaccio Market where you can see your fresh pasta being made while you wait (and of course learn about the most important typical Roman pastas). A wine producer inside the market will supply the wine to go along with this meal.

No Italian food tour is complete without a sampling and discussion of pizza (Roman style, of course). We'll end the tour with the all-important Italian dessert: a creamy gelato.

We'll have 8 stops and 11 tastings total:
Coffee (espresso, cappuccino, or an alternative drink)
Fried artichoke in the Jewish Ghetto
3 meats, 3 cheeses & local wine at a family-run salumeria
Suppli (fried rice & cheese ball)
Freshly made pasta at the Testaccio Market
Wine from a wine stand at the Testaccio Market
Two types of pizza
Gelato

Everyone has a check-list of must-eat things while in Rome, and you can taste them all on this 3-hour tour. See the city by bike as you eat your way through it! Buon appetito!
