Challenge yourself to ride the 444-mile Natchez Trace in just five days
Increasing numbers of cyclists are looking for Fall and Spring training options. The Trace Challenge will focus as a training ride for the intermediate to advanced rider. Each day will bring on mileages from 82 -111 miles, and will include excellent meals, good beer and a comfortable hotel to sleep in each night.
This Natchez Trace Challenge is the perfect setup for small groups, teams and individuals looking for challenging days with like riders. This tour could be your perfect opportunity as a fundraiser for your favorite charity. Cycle of Life Adventures will contribute 5% of your tour cost to your charity.
While our seven-day Natchez Trace Bike Tour focuses on the scenery, area attractions and a push toward one century, this 5-day challenge averages 95 miles per day with several days going over a century.
There are many historic markers along the trace to use as an excuse to stop for a break. Take a moment and read some of the interesting history. Make sure to catch photos of the Wichahpi Wall, a memorial for those Native Americans who walked the Trail of Tears. When you arrive in French Camp, tour the historic grounds and watch the students harvest the sorghum. Take a stroll on a few sections of the original Trace and picture bison migrating, Civil War soldiers and Ohio farmers using the Trace as their path, and boatmen walking home.
