This 4 day cycling break is designed to give an overview of this unique part of Catalonia. Baix Emporda has a special atmosphere unlike any other in Spain. From the Greek-Roman ruins of Empuries dating back to 530BC to the stunning Museum D'Art of Catalonia in Barcelona housing modern art of the 21st century there is an abundance of cultural activities to explore on your cycling tour. Highlights will include Castell Dali Gala in Pubol, the Dali museum in Figueres, a circular wine trail in Peralada, and a gourmet walking tour and half day bike tour in Barcelona. There is an opportunity to explore the countryside and coastal paths and make time for a swim as well as some retail therapy in Barcelona.

Cycle Catalan is pleased to announce the opening of its new Cycle and Walking Centre based in the heart of the medieval village of Calonge which sits in the foothills of the Gavarres mountains. The accommodation comprises of two newly completed townhouses built in a traditional style to blend in with the old medieval quarter with its narrow streets, Sant Marti church and Calonge castle which dates back to the 13th century. The village is well equipped with two excellent bakeries, a supermarket, butcher's, chemist, a weekly street market and numerous bars and restaurants.

Spectacular scenery framed by the Pyrenees mountains, carefully preserved thousand year old monasteries, lush green valleys, three rivers, rolling farmland with fields of orchards, sunflowers, vineyards, olive groves, coastal paths and unspoilt beaches not forgetting the medieval city of Girona - this cycling tour captures the breathtaking beauty of Catalonia.
