Starting from the town of Cairo at Illinois' southernmost tip and ending in the heart of downtown Chicago, Bicycle Illinois is the only cycling event across the entire state of Illinois! Held annually, the fully supported ride covers 500 to 600 miles with nightly stops in Cairo, Carbondale, Centralia, Effingham, Champaign, and Kankakee. A century option is also available every day of the ride!There will be six consecutive days of riding with pre-designated supported rest stops along the way and ride segments between the rest stops are about 20 miles long. CYCLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE STATE OF ILLINOIS IN ONE DAY!
We are proud to announce our new Ride Across Illinois (RAIL) ride series! Similar to ultra-distance one day rides in other states, these fully supported rides will challenge you to push the limits of your endurance by riding from one border of Illinois to the other! The RAIL South ride will be approximately 160 miles and travel from St. Louis, MO to Vincennes, IN on Saturday, June 1st. The RAIL North ride will be approximately 170 miles and travel from Moline, IL to Chicago, IL on Saturday, June 22nd (the longest day of the year).
