One of our favourite bike tours
This is one of our favourite bike tours involving a slightly longer cycle of around 4 hours, all at conversational pace on flat terrain with plenty of sightseeing and refreshment stops. We explore Belfast’s Cathedral and Titanic Quarters before joining the River Lagan Towpath to meander through the stunningly beautiful Lagan Valley Regional Park finishing at the award-winning Hilden Brewing Company – the oldest independent brewery in Ireland.
On route, we stop for coffee at the picturesque Lock Keeper’s Inn near Shaw’s Bridge. At Hilden you will be welcomed and given an introduction to the Brewery, offered some craft beer samples and served a scrumptious lunch all included in the tour price. Most people enjoy a leisurely lunch and then return to Belfast by train (25 mins/£4) from the nearby railway station. Some people choose to cycle back to Belfast – this is at the discretion of the tour guide.
This tour is popular with groups of friends and connoisseurs of finely crafted beers – it is a beautiful cycle with an enjoyable finish!
