This cycling holiday (Italy, Austria and Slovenia) leads you from the Hochpuster valley in the heart of the Dolomites until Triest, the capital of Friaul-Julisch Venetia and once an important Habsburg port city. This is a varied tour, only the last two stages are slightly hilly. The route is mostly paved and runs on cycle paths or on quiet side-streets. A little traffic is only to be expected at city entrances and exits.

The bike tour starts in the Mozart city of Salzburg and leads through the flat valley of the river Salzach and the river Inn to the baroque city of Schärding. The included bus transfer will take you from there to Krimml, where you can visit the waterfalls.
The cycle path leads along the Salzach, Saalach and Inn Rivers through flat to slightly hilly terrain with a descent of about 750 m. However, several longer ascents cannot be avoided.
