Single Centre Tour around Dresden

This seven-day self-guided tour is based at a single hotel in Dresden, with cycling day trips rather than a point-to-point route. From Dresden, riders cycle to Meissen to tour the famous porcelain factory, returning by train, then take an early train to Bad Schandau for a ride back through Saxon Switzerland past the Bastei, Königstein Fortress and Pillnitz Castle.

A free day in Dresden allows a city tour by bus, paddle steamer and funicular railway, before a day trip via Radebeul and the narrow-gauge "Lößnitzdackel" railway to the Moritzburg hunting lodge. A final free day allows further exploration of Dresden or nearby areas such as the Tharandt Forest.
