First taste the quiet roads and beaches of Basilicata and Parco del Cilento. Breathtaking coastal routes and the impending mountains just inland. All of our inns are on the beach - or very close - but don't be mislead: this is a pretty mountainous bike trip. The cuisine is rightly renowned. The ingredients are strictly local: handmade pastas, mouthwatering mozzarelle di bufala, precious olive oil, lush vegetables, fresh fish, delicious meats and, for as worthy final, the finest pastry with a sip of homemade Limoncello. The Aglianico del Vulture towers above the many wines locally produced.

Just one hour East of Roma, Abruzzo offers some of the most exciting riding you can find anywhere in Italy: four National Parks, memorable climbs and descents, a green belt of sweet hills dotted by olive trees, a network of enchanting backroads devoid of traffic, renaissance villages lost in the wilderness. The Appennini, the mountain backbone of the Peninsula, here displays their highest peaks with a couple of roads at over 2000mts. Family size farming guarantees fresh and organic ingredients to the sumptuous cuisine. You will love the warm hospitality and the generous taste of the red Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

It's our easiest tour: the vast, undulated plains are perfect for training or relaxed rides. The landscape is a great riding companion: century-old olive trees, amazing coastal routes, the vast fields in the inland and that peculiar brightness of the air. Land of conquest: over the centuries, from the Greeks to the Normans, from the Arabs to the Spaniards, this region has been a busy crossroad of history. Admirable works of art still witness the variety of his guests: from Romanesque to Baroque the well preserved old towns display architectural jewels. Strictly homemade and inventive is the cuisine. Puglia is Italy’s first producer of vegetables, olive oil and wine. Fresh ingredients and a legendary cooking ability combine to give you a new story to tell for each meal. The local wines are too many to name them all, we just mention the superb red Primitivo di Manduria. After the ride you will always find an inviting beach so don't leave home without your bathing suit.

While its Northern shores are haven to summer crowds and exclusive resorts for the most affluent, the rest of the Island is still largely unspoiled by mass tourism. Designed along the South, East and West coasts and across the mountainous inland, our tour proposes a different approach to this exciting Island. Sea and mountains: the rugged coastal routes, the thick forests of Barbagia and the passes of Gennargentu and everywhere a nature bursting out with the scents and colors of Mediterranean flora. The few tough climbs are always rewarded by winding descents and after ride swims in the emerald sea. Our selected restaurants will introduce you to the pleasures of the very original local cuisine. Remarkable selection of wines starting from the red Cannonau and the white Vermentino.

Between the imposing mountains and the Adriatic coast Abruzzo displays a green belt of gentle hills lined with olive trees and vineyards that link the mountains to the coast. Crossed by winding and quiet backroads this area is heaven for leisurely cycling. Here wines and ‘extra-vergine’ olive oil are widely produced mostly by small family run farms favoring the high quality over the quantity. The hills are often topped by charming villages whose daily life still moves on at the slow pace of the past.

And less moving around too. We stay in 3 different towns for 3 consecutive nights each. And, to make your trip more interesting, each location differs a lot from the others. We start with a 18th century fortified farm on the highlands of Valle di Noto then move to an elegant new hotel on the lush beach of Marina di Ragusa and end in an Agriturismo hidden in the orange groves at the foot of the Etna Volcano. You will ride into quite a few of the most celebrated Sicilian towns. And where it’s too difficult to go by bike, like Siracusa or Noto, we will drive you there for an evening stroll and an unforgettable dinner.

The remarkable traces left tell the history of man on this side of the hemisphere. We ride twisted and quiet roads among olive and carob trees, wild flowers and wheat fields, forests, along the coasts and over sweet hills and rugged mountains. We cross some of the Island's most amazing towns, sit at the piazza cafes puzzled in front of the mouthwatering offer of gelato, granita and pastry. At dinner we taste the art of the regional cuisine sipping Nero d'Avola and the other superior local wines. Most of the tour we are in the shade of the mighty Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. On the last day, to cap a tour you will never forget, we turn our wheels up the smoking mountain.
