Western Spirit Cycling Adventures
From the very beginning in 1990, Western Spirit has always been about getting people outside.
Although we are known for our cycling trips, what we really do is feed everyone’s need to get outside! This mission is rooted in our history and whether we are designing new trips on our incredible public lands; supporting trail initiatives; or advocating for recreation economies across the country, we know that time spent in the great outdoors is time well spent!
Owners, Ashley Korenblat and Mark Sevenoff are both mountain bike pioneers. Ashley served as the chair of the board of the International Mountain Bicycling Association and Mark has raced (and won) events too numerous to mention. Both realized that access to public lands and trails requires constant attention, and today more than ever, these shared lands need support.

The whoop-dee-doos will make you laugh out loud and the technical sections will challenge your bike handling skills on the famous Kokopelli Trail. It offers mountain bikers some of the best desert riding en route from Fruita, Colorado to Moab, Utah. Our point to point ride starts on the banks of the Colorado River where the trail includes some great singletrack and spectacular views. As we travel west, we leave the river for some technical jeep road riding through the labyrinth of red rock canyons at the base of the La Sal Mountains.

In the most remote district of Canyonlands National Park
Located in the most remote district of Canyonlands National Park, the Maze, unique in the world, was made famous by Edward Abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang. The vast open skies and magical rock formations are best appreciated from the saddle of your mountain bike. We begin our guided trip of the Maze at Hans Flat with incredible views of the many layers below. Over the next few days, we will make our way down the Flint Trail to camp at the Maze Overlook. From here we will hike down into the convoluted canyons which give the Maze its name. Later we will ride to the Land of Standing Rocks, completing our journey with a ride along the Orange Cliffs. As we ride through this remote and primarily untouched landscape, we will learn how to travel gently and with minimum impact. This is nature at its biggest and finest. The riding in the Maze includes rolling technical doubletrack. There is a 28-mile unsupported day. The Maze is a true Canyon Country mountain biking experience. Western Spirit Cycling is an authorized concessioner in Canyonlands National Park.

The White Rim Trail is THE classic Moab mountain bike trip
With jaw-dropping gorgeous views, slot canyon hikes, and ancient ruins, this is a mountain bike ride to get you off the grid and into the vast open spaces of Canyonlands National Park. Curious what a Western Spirit trip is like? White Rim Sandstone is an extremely hard sedimentary rock sandwiched among the layers of the Colorado Plateau. Winding through the plateau, the Colorado and Green rivers have carved out a section of Canyonlands called the Island in the Sky. The White Rim Sandstone encircles the Island and is thought to have been the border of an inland sea. Mountain biking around the White Rim is a wonderful way to experience the unique beauty of Canyonlands. Our guided trip provides ample opportunities to explore the slot canyons and Ancestral Puebloan ruins along the way, in addition to learning how to move through this wild and vast landscape without leaving a trace. Come experience the incredible power of nature on a giant scale. Mountain biking the White Rim is a great experience for all levels of riders. The technical sections are short and can be easily walked by the less experienced while providing a fun challenge for the more experienced. Western Spirit Cycling is an authorized concessioner in Canyonlands National Park. This Itinerary may be in reverse depending on the entry point

Ennis, Montana is the gateway for this inspiring guided bike adventure
Our route takes us along the top of the Gravelly Range northwest of Yellowstone into the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. This remote part of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem remains much like it was long before it was established as our country's first national park. After a few days of incredible views, we descend to the banks of the Madison River on our way into the park. This is one of the only places in the world where one can actually witness dynamic geologic forces at work. Unlike most geologic wonders where change happens over millions of years, in Yellowstone things change from week to week. You will understand why when you witness the active geysers, hot springs and fumaroles! In addition to the geology, the abundant wildlife flourishing in the greater Yellowstone area will astound you.
