Mountain biking through Sintra's forests, palaces and Atlantic viewpoints

The trails of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park offer exceptional mountain biking through dense forests and granite boulders, with sweeping Atlantic views. This guided full-day tour picks you up from your hotel and shows you the UNESCO World Heritage landscape of Sintra in a way few visitors see it.

Riding mostly downhill on dirt roads and single tracks, you explore the exotic natural surroundings that have drawn Romans, Moors and Portuguese royalty for centuries, attracted by the striking rock formations and cool summer microclimate. The route also takes in Sintra's historic village, with its old palaces and manor houses.

Your experienced local MTB guide shares local treats along the way, and you can add a wine tasting, a picnic, or lunch at Guincho Bar, a famous beach bar where surfers rest between sessions. E-bikes are available for those wanting extra help.
