Aqueduct walk, countryside farm visit and relaxed cycling into Évora

This fully guided hike and bike day begins in the countryside just outside Évora, walking alongside the remarkable 16th-century Água de Prata Aqueduct. Along the way your guide explains the cork, olive oil and aromatic herb traditions that shape the Alentejo landscape.

The walk ends at a traditional Alentejo farmhouse, Monte do Serrado de Baixo, home to a classic car museum with Jaguars, Austin Healeys, Porsches and a Jeep that raced the Paris-Dakar Rally. After meeting the farm animals and exploring the vegetable garden, you sit down to a generous picnic of local bread, cheeses, chorizo, olive oil, salad, dessert and regional wine.

After lunch you cycle back to Évora on a traffic-free, mostly downhill ecotrail, entering the city along Rua do Cano where the aqueduct arrives. The tour finishes with a ride through Évora's narrow white streets and a visit to the Chapel of Bones.
