Teen Treks

Welcome to our toughest trip. From the misty beaches of Oregon we will traverse mountain ranges, wooded forests, amber waves of grain, endless cow pastures, and barren plains as we cross the continent to the boardwalk of Coney Island, NY. Ride through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and along the Great Lakes to Niagara Falls. Follow the Erie Canal bike route across NY to the Hudson River and a short 150 miles to NYC. The adventures and experiences are endless, but don't kid yourself you must be in good shape. There will no doubt be days when close to 100 miles will have to be ridden. If you enjoy pitting yourself against the elements and find satisfaction in being part of Teen Treks most challenging trip, than this is for you. It's an experience of a lifetime!

The southern 3,050 mile route across America is about 800 miles shorter than the northern route, but make no mistake this trip is just as much of a challenge. Dip your tires in the Pacific Ocean in San Diego, CA then head east to dip them again in the Atlantic Ocean in Jacksonville, FL. Ride through California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. This adventure of a lifetime is the pinnacle of bike touring, so you must be in good shape and ready to ride. Most days you will ride 80 miles or more and some will be close to 100 miles! If you enjoy cycling and want to see everything this great country has to offer than consider this adventure. It will absolutely be a life changing event.

If you've never been to Europe, this is a good introduction. Spend sixteen days cycling, meeting many different kinds of people as you go. Exploring the three countries of the Netherlands, Belgium and France, our Amsterdam to Paris trek is a great easy adventure for those looking to enjoy Europe from the seat of bicycle. Beginning in Amsterdam, the group will discover the many great attractions this city has to offer, such as the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. Riding south along the coast into the amazing city of Den Haag the trip will navigate past small sea towns and huge windmills. Then it's on to Brugges, one of the most beautiful cities in Belgium, with its many winding canals and mediaeval buildings. Pedaling cross the green Belgium countryside will be quite the contrast to the city of Ghent where you will find tight narrow streets. Boarding a Train the group will find itself in picturesque Paris with vibrant cafes and legendary museums. Finally the group will take ride out to the Palace of Versailles - what an adventure

Imagine biking from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC (340+ miles) all off-road on the Alleghany Rail to Trail and the C&O Canal Tow Path. No cars or traffic as we leave Pittsburgh on trails winding alongside the Youghiogheny River to Ohiopyle, PA for white water rafting and Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" home. Enjoy the cool shade from the canopy of trees on either side of the path as well as the natural air conditioning each tunnel provides. Other highlights include: biking through a 3/4 mile tunnel, riding a 19th century canal boat, and visiting the Civil War town of Harper's Ferry. The last 2 days we'll sight-see in our nation's capital.

Bright sunshine-filled days with cooling ocean breezes make peddling the California coastline a summer in paradise. Start biking in San Francisco, seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, and the historic Fisherman�s Wharf. Continue south staying in lighthouse hostels and onto Big Sur for great hiking and camping. Pass breathtaking beach after breathtaking beach through Santa Barbara and Santa Monica. Finish the adventure with three amazing days in Los Angeles. Come on this trip and you�ll understand that California was made for biking! This trip is for experienced bikers comfortable on more heavily traveled road

The ride south out of Boston takes us past Plymouth Rock and onto Cape Cod. We'll take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard to find awesome beaches, unique towns, and great cabin camping. Back on the Cape, the Cape Cod Rail Trail and National Seashore Bicycle Trail take us through the fishing and resort towns of Eastham, Wellfleet, and Truro. Provincetown offers amazing beaches, towering sand dunes, trendy eateries, and the awesome sand dunes bike path. We'll ferry back to Boston to spend a final 2 days visiting Faneuil Hall, Harvard Sq., Shakespeare in the Park, and trendy eateries/shops

Join us as we explore where America was built! This First Time Explorers trek travels almost entirely on the historic D&R Canal trail, away from busy roads. The trail winds past 18th century farmhouses, granaries, and barns as it travels between New Jersey and Pennsylvania . �As a First Time Explores trek, this adventure has been designed as an introductory course to the great sport of bicycle touring.

Bicycle through thousands of years of history as we travel to England, Ireland and Wales. Starting in London this Trek will show off much of what these two islands have to offer. We will visit Oxford Univeristy, the quaint, beautiful Cottswold region, the vibrant city of Cardiff, the natural Connemara region in northwest Ireland, and of course Dublin. Experience the local culture, the natural environment, traditions, language and heritage. Explore the ruins of once-powerful castles or the many ancient churches and cathedrals still as grand as the day they were built. Lastly discover the legendary hospitality and spirited nature of the local people of these three distinct cultural regions.

This incredible 4 country tour (Britain, France, Belgium, & Holland) will bike through major cities and quaint villages to experience Europe's unique museums, monuments, people, and cultures. The group makes a large loop; starting in southwestern Britain at Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. Then we ferry to France and follow the Seine River through Monet's Giverny, Versailles, and Paris. A train ride north takes us to Belgium to bike between the beautiful cities of Brugge and Gent. In the Netherlands we'll bike through Amsterdam before we ferry back to Great Britain to cycle through East Anglia including Cambridge and finally 3 days in London before the flight home.

Ride around Lake Ontario on an international adventure that includes Niagara Falls, the cosmopolitan city of Toronto and the beautiful 1000 Islands. At Niagara Falls we'll take the Maid of the Mist & hike below in the Niagara Gorge. We'll then bike past the enormous lake freighters on the Welland Canal and swim at the Confederation Water Park. In Toronto we will visit the Toronto Islands, major museums, and Chinatown. As we head east to the 1000 Islands on bike paths and back roads we will find many beaches/provincial parks and sleep in the famous Lighthouse Hostel. On the south side of the lake we'll find great road biking & scenery and we'll visit Chimney Bluffs, Rochester, and portions of the Erie Canal as we return to Buffalo for great architecture & wings
