Pub Ride

Over five weeks, riders cycle from storied Dublin to the waterfront of Copenhagen, through Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark, taking in the great cities of Belfast, Edinburgh, York, London, Bruges, Amsterdam and Hamburg. Each day's journey through lush green countryside, villages and historic cities gives riders the chance to discover a new land, a new brew and a new spirit. A unique hotel awaits each night, and cyclists share meals together in local eateries, for it is in the pubs where the community meets, where stories are told and retold and where local life unfolds.

The route heads out through the green Irish countryside to Belfast before a ferry crossing to Scotland, sampling fine single malt whiskies in Edinburgh, exploring the walled city of York and the university city of Cambridge, and on to London and its historic sights. A ferry from the White Cliffs of Dover across the English Channel brings riders to Bruges, with its medieval old town and Trappist beers.

The route continues through the Dutch countryside to Amsterdam, the German port of Hamburg, and on to Copenhagen, where riders raise a mug of cold beer to celebrate the end of the Pub Ride. The tour can also be booked as two standalone sections, Pints & Pounds and Ales & Abbeys, for riders who prefer a shorter commitment.

Surface and terrain:
1–5% unpaved roads; a touring or gravel bike with 35–40c tyres is recommended. Mostly flat to gently rolling terrain across northern Europe. Tour is e-bike friendly.
