A two-wheeled journey through Vietnam, Laos and Thailand ending at Bangkok's famed Golden Buddha

Join us on our cycling quest for the fabled Golden Buddha. Our journey begins in the bustling modern city of Saigon and continues up the country's stunning coastline with stops in the beach town of Nha Trang, the ancient trading port of Hoi An and the old Imperial capital of Hue. The adventure continues as the riders explore subterranean caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and pedal along the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail before crossing into laid-back Laos and spinning along the Mighty Mekong River. Heading into Northern Laos the cyclists will face some challenging climbs but will be rewarded with a stop in one of Asia's most spiritual cities, Luang Prabang, home to golden wats and saffron-clad monks.

The route now takes the riders deeper into north-western Laos where verdant green rice fields are surrounded by looming mountains. This area is home is a large number of hill tribes like the Kamu and the H’mong and the fields are dotted with colourful stupas. The riders cross the Mekong River into Thailand and pedal through the region’s endless hills before reaching Chang Mai, known as the ‘Rose of the North’. After exploring the city’s many stunning temples, the cyclists will head south, spinning past high mountains and steep river valleys before arriving in the historic city of Ayutthaya, the second of the Siamese capitals. From there it is a quick ride into Bangkok and Wat Tarimit, home to the legendary Golden Buddha.
