Sweden by Bike
Sweden by Bike, founded in 2014 by enthusiasts Katarina Bergstrand and Ivan Glauser, was born out of a passion for cycling and an insight into the lack of quality information about cycling tourism in Sweden.
Since then, we have grown, both in scope and ambition, and today we are proud to be the country's leading platform for cycling tourism.
We strive to constantly grow and stand as the obvious alternative for everyone who wants to explore Sweden's magnificent landscape from the bicycle saddle. Our vision is to, together with tourism companies and other enthusiasts, be able to raise the potential of cycle tourism, and let more people discover all that wonderful Sweden has to offer - on two wheels.

Your journey will lead you through a strikingly diverse and enchanting natural and cultural landscape
Travel by train with Kinnekulletåget and experience a cycling adventure along the picturesque coast of Lake Vänern. The delightful fusion of cycling and train travel offers a cozy and relaxing experience, with numerous attractions to uncover. Highlights include the historic Göta Canal, the majestic Läckö Castle, and the vibrant, flowering mountain of Kinnekulle. The cycling package conveniently starts and ends in Töreboda, a destination easily accessible by train.
As you cycle, you'll traverse landscapes rich in history. Lake Vänern was formed approximately 10,000 years ago after the last Ice Age. As the ice receded, Sweden was engulfed by waters that connected the Kattegat and the Bothnian Sea. The process of land uplift eventually separated lakes such as Vänern and Vättern from the sea.
"A place among the most remarkable in the kingdom", wrote the flower king Carl von Linné about Kinnekulle. "This place is more lovely than any other".

Discover a different world in Sweden's Österlen Region
The rolling countryside dotted with green meadows and yellow rapeseed fields, the black-and-white half-timbered houses, the red poppies swaying in the wind, and the blue sea in the background all create an exotic atmosphere.
Discovering Österlen by bike is a treat. One of the great advantages is all the small friendly roads that wind through the landscape. You'll bike through apple orchards, fields, and meadows. Sometimes you'll come across dramatic cliffs that drop into the sea, and other times you'll find soft, sandy beaches that blend into the waves of the Hanö Bay. Along the way, you'll pass by inns serving delicious food, wineries, farm shops, cafes, and galleries. If you've been biking for a while, you might be tempted by a lavish cake buffet, a specialty in Österlen. The area is home to hundreds of artists and craftsmen; it was here that the first Konstrundan was organized in 1969. Art, ceramics, and silverwork can be found along the roads, as well as in many picturesque fishing villages and towns. The Danish heritage is evident in the architecture and gives a cozy feeling.

- Cycling, accommodation and activities suitable for families with children.
