Bali has a reputation as one of the most spectacular island paradises in the world. But there's more to Bali than water sports and fun in the sun. With fast-flowing rivers, deep canyons, crater lakes and volcanoes dominating its interior landscape, Bali is an outdoor lover's dream come true.

This three-day tour shows a new side of the heavenly island of Bali. A multitude of tracks and trails link different villages, providing endless opportunities for a fun ride through breathtaking scenery, visiting rice terraces, temples and villages to learn about Balinese culture, all from the seat of a mountain bike.

Day 1 rides down from the foot of Mount Batukaru past the stunning Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, visiting Tanah Lot Temple en route to a beachfront hotel. Day 2 starts at the rim of Mount Batur, descending through local villages, rice paddies and fruit farms, with a temple stop, finishing in the artistic town of Ubud. The final morning explores the rice paddies around Ubud, made famous by the movie "Eat, Pray, Love", with an optional visit to the Monkey Forest Temple before transferring onward.

Surface and terrain:
Mainly jeep trails and single-track between rice fields and small countryside roads. Terrain is mostly downhill or flat, with just a few short climbs; not technical, though some off-road experience is helpful. No elevation figures published.

Weather:
Tropical climate, constant 28–30°C daytime temperatures. Rainy season December–March (short heavy downpours); dry season May–September brings a cooling breeze from Australia.

Suitable for:
Rated "Active" difficulty. Suited to riders with some off-road experience, though not expert-level; described as a "fun and easy" ride overall. Group size 2–16, minimum age 18.
