Girona is one of the top cycling destinations in Europe
A good number of female and male professional cyclists have made this beautiful Catalan town their home. Also, many cycling aficionados from around the World spend time here.
For this trip, we propose a very interesting ride from Girona to Andorra via the Languedoc Rousillon region in France, with stops in amazing places like Collioure, Prades and Ax-Les-Thermes.
Next will be four days climbing into, in and out of Andorra, the small Pyrenean country that has some amazing roads up the mountains.
Note that Andorra is also the base of many professional cyclists too. The main advantage to be in Andorra, besides some favourable income tax rates, is to be riding in altitude most of the time. We will ride on most of the climbs that Andorra has to offer and also enjoy one of the best Spas in Europe, Caldea.
To get back to Girona, we will have some great riding on quiet roads and climbs in the Catalan Pyrenees. This way we will complete a fantastic loop once we reach Girona again.

Our redesigned SFIDA Italia Centro trip, covering the best riding in Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria, and the Abruzzo regions
But it is not only about riding, but this trip will also blow up any preconceived idea of what is a cycling trip to Italy.
We decided to change the first part of this trip, Emilia Romagna has so much to offer that we could not ignore this amazing region. Also, we have added another day of riding in the Abruzzos, this region will deserve a full SFIDA Cycling trip in the future, for now, we are happy with what we are offering to our clients.
The biggest climbs of the trip will be the Gran Sasso and Majella (Blockhaus) are world-class mountains. The Giro d’Italia visits them frequently, and we know why!
Accommodation and food on this trip are going to another level for our SFIDA Cycling clients. We could not but include a one-star Michelin dinner at Vespasia restaurant in Norcia, are we getting crazy? no, is just that we always need to make sure that we offer the best experience available to our clients!
One more thing, if you ever plan to bring your non-rider partner on one of our trips, this is definitely a good one to share! check with us.

We have done it! we are proud to introduce you to the ultimate Italian climbing trip
Starting in Corvara, in the heart of the Dolomites, and ending in Bormio, we are covering a good number of epic climbs along the route we have carefully designed for you. You can feel like you are riding parts of the Giro d’Italia during this trip.
We have redesigned this trip, definitely one of our client’s favorites. The trip can be divided in three parts, Corvara, Bolzano/Merano in South Tyrol and Bormio. One of the most convenient advantages of this new itinerary is that we start with three nights in Corvara and end with another three nights in Bormio. This way we avoid too many hotel transfers and can focus on great riding.
To the usual amazing climbs in the Dolomites: Fedaia, Valparola, Giau, Sella, Pordoi and the classics in the Alps: Stelvio (from Pratto and Bormio), Mortirolo and Gavia. We have added three new climbs to the SFIDA repertoire…and you won’t be disappointed, all above 2,000m high, the Penser Joch/Passo di Pennes, Jaufen Pass/ Passo di Monte Giovo and the most known Timmelsjoch/Passo del Rombo will help us discover the less-visited northern corner of the South Tyrol…as always SFIDA Cycling takes you to the less explored climbs.
If you ever wanted to ride on the wild side, this is your opportunity to join SFIDA Cycling and tick off your personal bucket list of incredible climbs.
As we are in Italy, expect the food and coffee to be great too. We have chosen excellent accommodation so you can relax after our challenging days on the road.
SFIDA Cycling only provides first-class support, so you just need to train and join us, we take care of all the details to make sure any trip with us is an unforgettable experience.

Sophisticated wineries and historical attractions are in abundance in Friuli!
The northern Italian region of Friuli, besides producing great wine, has been in the center of historical moments, from the Romans through all the dramas of the first and second World Wars.
But besides these interesting features, riding on the Friulian roads, and especially climbing on some very scenic and narrow Passos, full of switchbacks, is going to be a lot of fun during this amazing trip.
To top it, being so close to neighboring Slovenia, we could not cross the border a couple of times and visit the north-western part of this small alpine country.
With a shared history for centuries, Friuli and Slovenia have a lot in common and at the same time, given the nearly 5o years that both regions were separated by the Iron Wall, they have evolved differently.
We will ride up incredible climbs like: Vrsic, Mangart, Cason de Lanza, Monte Crostis, Forcella di Monte Rest, Pala Barzana, Piancavallo and of course, the most iconic climb in the region, Monte Zoncolan!
To end up this amazing trip, we will spend the last couple of nights in the Prosecco region in Veneto, we thought this will be a good reward after some tough riding.
Accommodation and food on this trip are up to the usual SFIDA Cycling high standard, this is part of the experience of riding with us.
One more thing, if you ever plan to bring your non-rider partner on one of our trips, this is definitely a good one to share! check with us.

Combine these two amazing cycling destinations on the same trip.
Girona is a mid-size Catalan city, halfway between the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees, between Barcelona and France. This makes for a great variety of landscapes and cycling options.
At the same time, Girona’s medieval old town, very well preserved and doted with great cafes, restaurants and shops, makes it a great place to wander around when not on your bike.
Girona has become, since the early 2000s, the residence of choice for many non-European professional cyclists, both women and men. The city breathes cycling most of the year.
Mallorca is the biggest island in the Balearic. The Serra de Tramuntana forms the rugged and mountainous north, then has the flatter in the centre and south, is not complicated to know which part we will focus on during our riding there….
With many towns and villages of interest, there’s not a specific area more interesting than others, however, we decided to stay near the capital, Palma de Mallorca, so we can enjoy some fine dining after great days on the bike.

A Country with the word Monte (mountain) on its name had to be in the SFIDA Cycling list of destinations
Anyway you arrive in Montenegro, the first thing you can see is a very mountainous landscape, and when close to the Adriatic coast, this makes up for magnificent photo opportunities.
Since it was recognized as an independent state in 1878, Montenegro has been part of three different national identities before becoming a country on its own again: the Independent state of Montenegro, the Republic of Yugoslavia, and Serbia and Montenegro before the decision in 2006 to separate definitely from Serbia and become what we know as Montenegro today.
Nowadays, Montenegro is becoming a touristic country in the heart of the Balkans. For the Eastern Europeans, it represents a closer version of what you can find on the Mediterranean coast of France and Italy. For the Western Europeans, it feels as close to the East with a mix of religions and cultures. One thing everyone finds in common is the natural beauty of the country, from the Adriatic coast to Durmitor National Park in the Balkans.
We are pleased to introduce to our clients Montenegro as a cycling destination, in our itinerary we are combining amazing climbs, beautiful mountain roads, and visiting some extraordinary medieval towns and remote villages with a very interesting history. Combined with great accommodation, food, and the famous Montenegrin hospitality, we hope this is a trip that fulfills all the expectations.
We are aware that Montenegro is not the easiest place to get to, don’t hesitate to check with us in order to help you organize your travel arrangements.
One thing we can assure you is that once you are in Montenegro you will be surprised at how easy going everything is, with good quality roads included.
Come with us and discover the next big cycling destination in Europe, definitely riding in the heart of the Balkans with SFIDA Cycling is not to be missed.
Starting in the medieval Kotor we will ride anticlockwise to the most interesting places in Montenegro: Cetinje, Kolasin, Zabljak, Perast…and in between incredible switchback roads starting at sea level, rock-hewn monasteries, Mausoleums, incredible bridges, beautiful national parks…Yes, Montenegro has it all.
