Sanur Cycle Tours

You will be picked up from your accommodation at around 05:50 and taken to our start point where we begin yourtour.

Our guide will take you north up along the beach to Padang Galak to begin a relaxing slow paced ride along the whole Sanur beach strip. A bottle of water, face cloth and some fruit or a light breakfast will be provided. We will ride south from here along the paved beach path, stopping anywhere along the way to enjoy the sunrise and take photos. On a clear morning Nusa Lembongan and Mount Agung can be seen from this route. You are also able to swim anywhere along Sindu/Karang/Sanur/ Semawang beaches so don't forget your bathers and a towel if you would like this. We will also see the local fishermen casting their nets and fishing for bait and dive operators getting ready for their daily activities.

There are several early morning warungs who open early, where you can try the local Bali coffee, Nescafe or tea and sit on the beach to enjoy it or mingle with the local fishermen and share stories. Well then venture further down the beach to Mertasari beach where the local children and adults fly their kites from May to September. There is a Kite flying competition held in September or October each year here depending on the winds. At the end of this 7km path we will come to Pura Dalam Pangembak.

On our way back north along the beach we can stop at a small café (Stiff Chilli) and enjoy breakfast or a coffee or we can wait until our journey is nearly complete and visit Madu Sedana warung, which has been an icon of Sanur and serves good juices and breakfasts. After this we will return the bicycles and arrange to take you back to your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to relax or enjoy other parts of Sanur.

Starting from Griya Asri (Sanur Studios) on .11 Penyaringan our local guide will lead you east to Sindu beach. From there you ride South via the paved path, approximately 5 km, to Mertasari Beach .We then turn west and ride up a quiet road then turn into a quieter gang (path) on the Southside of Sanur. We then venture across Bypass Ngurah Rai at the traffic lights where you will ride west through a quiet road into the green area of Sanur, riding along a small biking path beside a canal which is used for recycling waterto and from the rice fields and see the local people going about their morning activities tending to the rice and growing flowers and fruit.

He will then take you north along quiet back roads to "Pasar Intaran" (Intaren local Market) where he will guide you through the stalls and you can try some local fruit and delicacies and explain howthe local Balinese shop and obtain their produce.

( This is where Komang was brought up and lives so you will see many of the people here know him so he can explain the life here or translate for you if need be).

From here you will ride to Renon area and visit a flower and orchid nursery. Next, you will cycle back toward Sanur along some more quiet paths and roads and visit Madu Sedana warung to enjoy a well earnt rest and eat your prepared light breakfast which includes some fruit, muesli bar, local delicacies bottle of water and a fresh cool towel. You are welcome to purchase a coffee or fruit juice as well.

From here we venture back through some rice fields again and visit a local expats famed Beatles Museum filled with a lifetime collection of "The Beatles" memorabilia including 2 gold records of "Strawberry Fields" &John Lennon's Imagine!

We then venture back to our starting point where the tour will end and you will be transferred back to your accommodation. You then have the remainder of the day to enjoy Sanur or relax on the beach or beside your pool.

You will be picked up from your accommodation at around 15:35 pm and taken to our shop on Jl Pejang Sari where we begin your tour. You will then turn west and ride into the outskirts of Sanur & through the rice fields. From here we turn east & cycle toward the bypass where we will visit "The Man Shed." Which is an old car & motorcycle museum and bar where you can stop for a cool drink if need be or just view the items on display.

After this Our local guide will lead you west through some small streets until you are in the rice fields down to Mertasari beach where you will enjoy riding along the 5 km of beach path up until you get to Sindhu beach and visit The Sindhu Night market where he will guide you through the stalls and you can try some local fruit and delicacies and see how the local Balinese shop and obtain their produce. Following our visit there. We will make a pit stop at "The "Cavern bar" for a cold soft drink or purchase one of the coldest beers in Sanur as well. This bar boasts the largest private collection of Beatles memorabilia in South Asia, including two gold records from both The Beatles and John Lennon.

We will then take you west back toward our start point & or visit the Sanur Garage where you can again enjoy a beer or a look about at some of the Harley Davidsons here before returning to our shop where your tour will complete, we will then arrange to take you back to your accommodation.

This Afternoon tour includes a hotel transfers, drinking water, and a light snack pack is also packed for you.

7 Days / 6 Nights tour of Bali.

This tour spends 4 days/ 3 nights cycling Nusa Penida. We then return to Bali where we cycle Bangli, Kusamba, Ubud, before returning to Sanur. (Where it all starts & finishes.

This tour is not for the faint hearted but for cyclists that enjoy a challenge & not afraid to cycle some rolling hills. Remember you cycle up then you can cycle down.

We visit places like Manta point, Broken Beach, Suana Bay, Goa Giri Temple and other amazing places on Nusa Penida.

If you bring your own bicycle, we also arrange cleaning & packing of your treasured bicycle for the return journey home.
