Mallorca Cycling Holiday

This self-guided tour explores Mallorca's diverse terrain, from gentle coast roads and fertile orchards to strenuous inland climbs on the fringes of the Tramuntana Range. Based for four nights in the medieval town of Sineu, riders loop out to Petra's Padre Serra monastery, the hilltop chapel of Bonany, and on to Alaró's castle and the ancient villages around Binissalem, with a further loop taking in Mallorquin windmills, Puig de Randa's chapels and the village of Montuiri.

The route then heads north to Pollença for three nights, passing through carob and almond groves en route. From Pollença, riders can loop out to the wetlands of s'Albufera Natural Park, spot water birds and windmill-dotted farmland, then choose between an easy ride to the north coast beaches or a tough climb to Lluc Monastery.

Terrain ranges from peaceful farmland roads to genuinely strenuous inland hills, with several routes offering easier alternative options.

Surface and terrain:
Mostly quiet country roads with some dirt tracks and short non-cyclable/footpath sections. Terrain ranges from gentle farmland riding to strenuous inland climbs, with daily ascents of roughly 275-635m depending on route option chosen.

Suitable for:
Riders comfortable with a mix of easy and genuinely strenuous hill climbs, rated 3 of 5 on the operator's difficulty scale. Most days offer an easier alternative route. E-bikes available for extra assistance on the climbs.
