Beaches, mountain passes, green valleys, lochs and fast flowing rivers. Scotland has them all and what better way to see them than from the saddle of a bicycle?

North West Scotland is one of the last great scenic cycling secrets in Europe; a vast wilderness of extraordinary mountains set in ancient rock and moorland. On our Remote Highlands cycling holiday you will enjoy biking on quiet narrow roads that wind through beautiful heather clad hills, high sea cliffs and waterfalls.

The 8 day itinerary begins in HIghland capital Inverness. We cycle to Bonar Bridge crossing the Black Isle peninsula to Dingwall. From here we follow the north side of the Cromarty of Firth continuing our cycle ride on minor roads and cycle track through Sutherland. We enjoy rugged scenery on our ride towards west coast Achultibuie through a landscape which becomes more spectacular with every locomotion of the wheel. Traditional life continues in the crofting and fishing villages that lie along the shores of the sea lochs. The view over the water to the Summer Isles is the perfect reward to end your first day's cycling. We then ride north through the rich farmland heading to the west coast. You will marvel at the sheer magnificence of the Atlantic scenery. redspokes Remote Scotland cycling holiday continues to the small fishing port of Lochinver. Passing the white sands of Scourie bay we ride through a lunar landscape of lochs and mountains heading for Cape Wrath. Our ride ends when we reach Durness. From here we will transfer to Inverness arriving around 1pm with plenty of time to catch an afternoon flight or train.
