Non competitive Granfondo in the Pyrenees

The IRATI XTREM race is meant to be a 128Km non-competitive race. There is no real classifying or winners. The first 3 km at the start are neutralized. The race goes along some of the most beautiful spots in the Pyrenees and around The Irati Forest, the second largest and best preserved beech and fir forest in Europe.

For those who want to compete, there is the Larrau ascent time trial. Larrau is one of the well-known ports in the Pyrenees, and one stage in the Tour the France in 2007. The ascent time trial will be timed at Larrau.
