The Central West Cycle Trail, CWCT, was established in September 2019 by cycle enthusiasts from Mudgee. It runs over 400 kilometres and links the Central West towns of Mudgee, Gulgong, Dunedoo, Mendooran, Ballimore, Dubbo and Wellington along country backroads and a section through the Goonoo State Forrest. The trail is typically done in 5-7 days staying a country pubs and motels overnight with camping options available.

- Include Mudgee before or after a tour, a trip to or from the Kandos, Wollemi and Capertee regions to link with the CWCT, or extend the five day loop to seven by incorporating Dubbo in the tour itinerary.
