Suitable for road, hybrid or ebike
Sample rides:
- Coll de sa Bataia: 65km loop starting and finishing in Port de Pollenca
- Gradient 5% avg, climb is 7km long, most of the spin is flat or rolling countryside. Suitable for cyclists who can cycle up to 3 hours. The climb goes up in some fabulous mountains and for many this is their first big climb they will do anywhere. Stop for photos and enjoy coffee and almond cake at the famous service station café at the top at Lluc. Look forward to descending the Coll de Femenia with its glorious views. You might even spot Menorca on the horizon on a very clear day.
- Time: 3 to 4 hours including coffee and cake/ice cream stop at Lluc.
- Possible additional stopping places (more coffee!)in villages of Campanet, Selva, Caimari and Pollenca on the way home
- Flat and rolling spin to Sineu from and back to Port de Pollenca 80km - Flat and rolling countryside, no big climbs - Cycle to this traditional and historical market town of Sineu. You can even add in a few laps of the velodrome in the town. You will see the agricultural heartland of Mallorca where vegetables, and especially potatoes are grown in huge quantities. - Suitable for cyclists who can cycle 3 hours or so. - Time: 3 to 4 hours including lunch in Sineu and maybe and additional coffee and cake/ice cream coffee in Sa Pobla on the way home.
