Adventure & Culture in the Other India
They are an active holiday company based out of Assam in the Northeastern region of India.
Among other things, we specialize in Cycling. In fact, we are the only out fit running cycling tours in this region, operating cycling tours in this region for 10 years now. As of now, we run tours in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim.
This little-known corner of the Indian Subcontinent sharing international borders with Bhutan, Tibet, China, Myanmar and Bangladesh, constitutes 7 states, popularly knows as the 7 sisters.
This region has some of the densest mix of ethnicities and languages. For example, the state of Arunachal Pradesh has over 26 major tribes with over 100 sub-tribes and clans speaking 50 odd dialects. These tribes provide a cultural bridge between India and south East Asia, China, Inner Asia and Burma by ethnic and linguistic similarities, as most of these tribes migrated here from the North and the East over the centuries. Infact this region is closer to Southeast Asia than South India.
Our tours are very experiential in nature; with deep local insights, local interaction and the routes themselves are not being very easy. Generally, this region was the blank spot on the cycling map of India, till we started offering tours here.

The setting of this ride is in western Arunachal Pradesh, the Buddhist belt of the state. This is one of the highest motorable routes of the eastern bit of the Himalayas, at places taking you to an altitude of 4250mts.
This cycling tour of western Arunachal Pradesh takes you all the way to the periphery of beautiful Tawang. The setting of this ride of Arunachal Pradesh is in the Buddhist belt home to the Monpa and Sherdukpen people. Close to the border with Bhutan and Tibet, this is one of the highest motorable routes of the eastern Himalayas, at places taking you to an altitude of 4200mts. The road condition though not at the best is still better than most parts of Arunachal Pradesh. The cycling phase covers between 300 to 650Kms, riding on little used roads of western Arunachal Pradesh. Incidentally, in a rough manner we mirror the same route the Dalai Lama used in his exodus from Tibet.
