Niagara Cycling Tours
Ride. Discover. Repeat.
Summer 2021 is their first year in operation, but the seeds of success started many miles and many years ago.
Niagara Cycling Tours is a product of two sports marketing and event planning companies, an avid cyclist,, and a dream to see more of the world spending active holiday time on a bike.
Our Company Mission is to help anyone and everyone enjoy the sights, sounds, and experiences of the Niagara Region, make friends, see new places, and enjoy great meals together. If you are a novice cyclist and you have never completed a multi-day bike tour, make ours your first one and see if you don't want to come back! Veteran cyclists who can't or won't head overseas this year might surprise themselves with the challenge that our rides can provide, plus for some a great fitness test to get you ready for bigger challenges ahead.
Your ride with us will take you through over 30 cities, towns, and villages from historic Niagara-on-the-Lake, the majestic and famous Niagara Falls, and to places known and unknown such as Crystal Beach, Port Colborne, Pelham, Jordan Station, and Welland. Coffee in Port Dalhousie or a winery stop in Lincoln, we know you will be excited and encouraged as you round every corner and are greeted by some of the best views anywhere by bike.

This is it. This is the one for cyclists looking for a mid to late-season riding vacation, or to test and showcase your summer of training, long miles, and days in the saddle.
Celebrate and reward your fitness in the best way possible in these pandemic times with us, in a safe, socially distancing manner. Join your club or group riding friends and cap off your season in style. Our Classic Tour is designed for your group with multiple distance choices, a variety of interesting, safe routes, and quality meals, accommodations, and camaraderie. Whether it be our weekend or weekday cycling tour, routes have been planned to offer higher mileage (120+ km) or lower mileage (60-75km) options for cyclists of all abilities. Looking to challenge yourself? Great! Looking for less distance one day, more the next? Awesome, that works too! Whatever your distance needs, we have something for your interest and abilities.
Offering spectacular views, first-rate accommodation, unique and engaging rides, as well as ideas for locally unique excursions - this is the cycling trip you need to take to see a side of the Niagara Region you didn't know existed!
Known for its beauty, terrain, wineries, and - of course - the Falls, the Niagara Region is so much more than that. Our carefully crafted routes take you through over 30 villages, towns, hamlets, and cities. You will gain insight into the region like you have never seen before and travel safe, mostly traffic-free roads, paths, and off-beat hidden trails suitable for road bikes.
Starting in the picturesque town of Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL), over 4 or 5 days, on a weekday or weekend tour, we will first take you south along the Niagara River and famous Parkway as it flows into Lake Erie. Then, keeping you on bike-specific trails where possible, you will pass through Fort Erie, Stevensville, Crystal Beach, Port Colborne, and Wainfleet - to name a few - as your tour takes you west along the shores of Lake Erie. From there, we will cycle into the heartland of the Niagara Region, visiting Pelham, Fonthill, Grimsby, Jordan, and Welland before wrapping up back where we started in NOTL.

Start your weekend of FUN by arriving anytime Friday in Niagara on the Lake, and if needed, we can hold your luggage before your room becomes available. Budget-conscious riders can stay right by the highway as you arrive in town, and you may wish to shop next door here at the Niagara Outlet Mall to start your weekend vacation! This is a mere 12-15 km's away from Old Town Niagara on the Lake, by the water, and where the heaviest concentration of tourists are found. Anyone looking to ride into the weekend can do so by making this Friday an un-forgettable Fun Friday!
Or, wake up early Saturday if you are somewhere in Southern or South-Western Ontario and make your way here at the crack of dawn. You can park and leave your car safely in Old Town for the day and be on your bike by 9 or 10 am! Then just a one-night booking is all you need to spend two glorious days seeing everything the Niagara Region has to offer, or if you are in no rush to get back to work Monday, make this also a 2-day option and use Sunday night to celebrate, eat a fabulous meal and treat yourself to a sleep-in on Monday morning. Aggressive cyclists can use the many public transit options to get here by Train or Bus and bike back to your home base. With advance notice, we can make sure your luggage makes its way safely back too. The flexibility of choices and scenarios will help anyone and everyone create their perfect early season cycling getaway.

Have you ever felt so great on your bike, riding, and riding, and never wanted to stop? Have you wondered "how far can I go" today if time was not a barrier?
Well, now you can with some support, direction and motivation.
Mega Day rides basically involve full support from our team, so you can focus on the cycling part. We can prepare and plan the routes based on our extensive knowledge of the safest, flattest, car-free roads - or if you like variety in your terrain we can provide this too. Focus on your riding and make sure the many rest stops you will need are as quick as possible. We can prepare the snacks, meals and food ahead of time and obviously whether you want some company along the way or have the support vehicle in view at all times these are part and parcel of the services we can offer.
We suggest for anyone and everyone to plan on staying at least one night before or after the ride in Niagara, we don't encourage anyone trying to drive home after a long and tough day in the saddle, and if your long ride ends in the evening the Go Train is probably closed!
