From the bike fitting and welcome dinner in Saigon, we climb into the cooler air of Bao Loc’s tea country and the pine forests of Da Lat. Then it’s a thrilling descent toward Nha Trang’s beaches, before hugging the coast past quiet fishing villages, ancient Cham ruins, and endless rice fields.

Along the way, expect red dirt trails, misty mountain passes, riverside gravel, and local hospitality you won’t forget. We’ll visit the haunting My Lai site before finishing strong in Hội An — a UNESCO World Heritage town, where centuries of history meet the rhythm of modern Vietnam.

The route taken by this tour is almost entirely flat and mostly paved. Because of those facts, it’s a good opportunity for beginner riders to go on a longer adventure. The 4-day itinerary will give them a lot of time to practise, and by the time they finish they may just be ready to graduate to intermediate level!

This Vietnam cycling tour takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of northern Vietnam, from the bustling streets of Hanoi to the tranquil beauty of Mai Chau, Pu Luong, and Ninh Binh. The adventure begins with a transfer out of Hanoi, followed by a scenic ride through ethnic minority villages and lush rice paddies before reaching Mai Chau’s stunning valley.

Day two features challenging climbs and rewarding descents into Pu Luong Nature Reserve, where riders pass traditional villages and spectacular rice terraces. After a relaxing evening at a treehouse homestay, the journey continues with an exhilarating downhill ride through Pu Luong before crossing into the dramatic karst landscapes of Ninh Binh, known as “Ha Long Bay on land.”

The final day on the bike offers a relaxed ride through Ninh Binh’s picturesque countryside, followed by a guided boat trip through hidden caves and lagoons. Returning to Hanoi in the evening, the tour concludes with a farewell dinner, leaving riders with unforgettable memories of Vietnam’s northern landscapes and warm hospitality.

You’ll ride past Cham towers, shrimp farms, and traditional fishing villages, stopping in Phu Yen and Quy Nhon. A visit to the historic My Lai site adds a powerful cultural element before reaching the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An for a well-deserved rest day.

The highlight of the journey is the climb over the legendary Hai Van Pass, offering panoramic views of the East Sea before a thrilling descent into Hue. The trip ends with a guided cycling tour of Hue’s ancient citadel, royal tombs, and pagodas, making for an unforgettable ride through Vietnam’s history, culture, and stunning landscapes.

After an orientation in Saigon, you’ll begin your journey in Ben Tre, cycling through lush coconut plantations, crossing small canals, and visiting a coconut by-product factory before continuing to Tra Vinh.

From Tra Vinh, the route leads past Ba Om Pond and through endless rice paddies before arriving in Can Tho, home to the famous Cai Rang floating market. After a morning exploring the market by boat, you’ll cycle quiet riverside roads, passing fruit gardens and open rice fields on the way to Long Xuyen, with a stop at Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary.

The journey continues to Chau Doc via Tra Su National Reserve, where you’ll experience serene boat rides through shaded canals. The tour concludes with an early morning speedboat to Phnom Penh, offering a scenic and relaxing finish to your adventure. This unforgettable ride showcases the beauty, culture, and history of southern Vietnam, making it the perfect way to experience the Mekong Delta on two wheels.

This full day ride takes you on the flat paths through rice paddies and small villages of the Mekong Delta. Riders will drink at a local cafe, feast on some Mekong cuisine, and even go to the region's only craft brewery for a brew or two.
