The Golden Eagle Biking Tour

Each day you bike through different landscapes from mountain valley passes, knee deep river streams, taking uphill and downhill of valleys. On the way, you meet and take a glimpse of local Kazakh nomads who live off large flocks of yaks and sheep.

Eagle Festival: Towards the end of the trip, you will join the Kazakh community in Bayan-Ulgii province to celebrate Eagle Festival. The Eagle Festival is a travelers` dream. To celebrate their long lived tradition that dates back to centuries, the Kazakh eagle hunters get on to their horseback, dressed in their traditional dark coats and scarlet hats, with Golden Eagles hovering on their arms gather to challenge the skills and strength of their golden eagles.

Not only eagle hunting spectacles, but also horse racing and goatskin tug of war are organized as part of the festival.

At all times biking is done on distinct car tracks with smooth packed surface interrupted by a couple of short rocky sections.

The tour is led by professional guide, and supported by vehicle supply, cycling adapted meals and comfortable camping with drip shower and portable toilet. Tented camping is arranged throughout the tour.
